One Sweet Day

Chapter Twenty Three

"Nikki, Nikki? Come back to me Nikki." Lauren called waving a hand in her Nikki's face.
"Huh?"
"Nikki? Are you ok?" Lauren asked.
"Um... oh my. I'm going out with Zac. Finally."
"Nikki. Brain dead Idiot. What is your problem? Don't let going out with Zac get to your head. I'm going out with Taylor and that hasn't gone to my head."
"So what? This is Zac Hanson."
Lauren was getting annoyed. "So, I have Taylor, the one you really want."
Lauren swiftly turned around and headed out the door and into her own room. Nikki sat down and wrote in her diary.
Dear Diary,
You will never believe what Lauren just said to me. She said that she had Taylor, the one that I really wanted. She's so right. I only like Zac as a friend. Lauren and everyone else must know that I'm only using Zac to get to Taylor. I feel horrible about it too, cause Zac really seems to like me. I could never love him the way I love Taylor though. He's soooo much younger than me. I don't know what to do. Shit, Laurens coming. Bye.
"Nikki, I'm sorry. Please don't be upset with me. I didn't mean it."
"It's ok. Really."

Meanwhile at the Hanson's house

"Taylor! I'm going out with Nikki. I can't believe I asked her out, I don't even like her. Not how I like Lauren."
"Zac, I'm going out with Lauren, you're going out with Nikki. Stop telling me how much you like Lauren cause I'll tell her if you don't stop."
"What are you guys talking about?" Diana asked as she walked into the kid's room.
"Nothing ma. Where's Ike?"
"I'm not sure, he said he was going out with Kathy. Shouldn't you all be going to bed now, it's getting very late."
"Yeah mom." Taylor answered.
"Night hun." Diana said as she tucked Taylor in and kissed his forhead.
"Night mom." he replied.
"Night my Prozac pill." She said to Zac as she tucked him in.
"Night mom." He answered. Soon Tay and Zac were fast asleep and only woke up for a moment when Isaac snuck in at 4:30 in the morning.
