"And YOU have won TEN FREE FULL DAY PASSES TO: KINGS DOMINION!!" the loud radio
station man yelled in Taylor's ear for answering all the questions correctly to the
Hanson quiz.
"Thanks."
He got his name and address and the tickets arrived the next day. When he got them,
he put them in his room and hurried over to Lauren's house. He knocked on the door.
Her mom answered. "Hello Taylor. Lauren is upstairs, go on up."
"Thanks."
He walked up to her room, and knocked on her door.
"Who is it?"
"It's me babe."
"Oh, come in Tay."
He walked in to see her lying on the floor, reading a magazine in VERY funky
clothes, listening to... Sublime.
"Ummm, hey. I have a question."
"What?"
"YOU WANNA GO TO KINGS DOMINION WITH US TOMORROW?!?!"
"Ooooh! Yeah! Who is us?"
"Me, you, Zac, Nikki, Ike, mom, dad, Jessie, Avey and Mackie."
"Sure, ok."
That night everyone went to bed early waiting for the next day to come.
Lauren woke up the next morning at 7:00. She had to be waiting at the Hanson's house
at 8:30. She took a shower, got dressed in her black JNCOs, and a maroon tank top. She
brushed her hair and put on her makeup. She walked out the door at 8:28, to be
at the Hanson's at 8:30. When she got there, Nikki was already there, and everyone
else was getting ready. By 9:00, they were in the van, everyone but Walker, fast
asleep. When they got there, three and half hours later, Tay grabbed Lauren's hand and
bought her ticket and went in. Nikki and Zac followed. Walker took Diana, Jesse,
Avery and Mackie in, and all who was left was poor miserable Isaac. He was walking
around for the 1st hour with his head slumped down and not watching where he
was going. As he was passing the Anaconda, he bumped into someone, sending them
both falling to the ground.
"Oh sorry!" He yelled before he could even see who he was talking to. When the figure
stood up, he saw the most beautiful girl he had ever seen before standing right before
him.
"I am SO sorry!" She said.
"Oh, no, it's not your fault, it's mine."
"Oh no. I'm still sorry. Is there anything I can do to make it up?"
"Only if you want to."
"What?" She said with a smile.
"Hang out with me for today and give me your number when the day is over."
"Sure, I'd love to. But first, what's your name? You look familiar."
"Isaac Hanson. And you are?"
"Oh my! You are Isaac Hanson. Wow. That's cool. I'm Deona, but you can call me Deena."
"Ok, Deena."
"So, where were you headed?"
"Nowhere. I was kinda miserable."
"Oh why? What happened?"
"Well, I just found out my girlfriend of almost two years, was cheating on me."
"Oh wow."
"And no one seems to care."
"Oh God. I care. I know, from MANY expiriences, how terrible that is."
"You mean, people cheat, on you?"
"Yeah."
"I can't see how. Your beautiful, you seem to have a nice personality, I can't see
how anyone could do that."
"Thanks" She said blushing.
They talked for hours and hours, till the night was over. It was 10:30 and all
the Hansons and Deena met at the tower. They were all leaving and Ike turned to Deena.
"Where do you live?"
"Oh, up in West Tulsa."
"NO WAY!"
"Yes way!"
"That's where we live!"
"really?"
"Yeah."
"Cool."
"Where does she live?"
"On Bradbury Street. I dunno where that is though."
"Yeah you do, Ike. That's only three blocks away from us."
"Is it really?!"
"Yeah."
"Oh, ok."
"Ok, Ike, Deena, get in the car please."
Everyone slept in the car except for Deena and Ike. They were talking the whole
way to her house. When they finally got there, she got out and Ike walked her to
her door step.
"Number please." He said.
She handed him a piece of paper with her number scribbled on it.
"Thank you."
"Your welcome. You'll call right?"
"Of course."
"Good. I had a really nice day today. Thanks for bumping into me." She leaned
in and kissed him. A long, passionate kiss. When they broke, she smiled, blushed,
and went inside. He walked to the car, with the biggest smile ever.
