Oftentimes, groups of people
are joined by their common experiences. Those of us who are part
of the nightclub scene are indeed connected in this way. Even within
that small group, there are a few different roles or types of participation
that separate us. There are, for instance, Owners, Managers, Promoters,
Performers, etc., all of whom play a distinct part in the larger club scene
picture. This article is dedicated to those who participate on the
most important level, the Customers. More specifically, I write to
give you, the customer, some insight into another important person in the
equation, a part that I sometimes play, the Doorman. For the most
part, bouncers are not club-goers, and therefore don’t care much about
the average customer. I am, and therefore I do. Hence, the
article. Hopefully, you reading this will make things easier for everybody.
Having said that, I give you a bit of perspective on what things
are like from where I stand.
