As the legendary "Sailor V", Mina/Minako was the original "Sailor Scout."
In the manga, when she first appeared, she was posing as the Moon Princess
in order to protect the true Princess until her memories could awaken. When
Usagi finally regained her Moon Princess identity, Mina assumed the new
role of Sailor Venus. She also dreams of becoming an idol singer.
Meet Sailor Venus, or Minako. Venus has been a symbolistic scout from the
very beginning.. in fact, if there was no Sailor V there would most likely be no
Sailor Moon. When a Sailor suited heroine first appeared as a new concept in
Manga, "Code Name Sailor-V" was invented by Naoko Takeuchi's hand.
Code Name Sailor-V became a very good ground steak in the start of a new
universe in sailor suited females, thus leading to the animated release of
Sailor Moon.
Venus can most likely be considered the 2nd in command, mostly because of her popularity in manga, and also that
Artemis is her personal trainer. There is one thing about Venus that she can never hide, and that's her blond hair,
which follows her blond personality. Though not near as clumsy as Usagi, she is one major boy chaser, for
example, in the SS series there is an episode where she sets up 2 dates, and some how manages to have dates with
them at the same time, but in distant places.
Venus has the biggest imagination of all the scouts, always dreaming of becoming a champion volley-ball player.
Small things get to Venus very easily, a good example is in one of the mid S episodes in which Venus feels she is
not pure at heart, cause all the other scouts had there heart crystals removed in previous episodes. So Minako
begins donning blood like 3 times a day, drinking healthy, reading pure heart books, and other such garbage. Of
course at the end of the episode Minako gets blasted by Eudial, and gets her crystal extracted, but instead of
falling over limp like all the others, she 1/2 mindedly grabs her heart crystal and starts running (yes it is a very
funny scene). ^_-
