~Step by step instructions on how to join Lit_Power~
Hello and Welcome to Lit Power!
It's all about great people, great fun and happy times!!!
This is a step-by-step help guide to aid you in joining our league. The registration process is fairly easy, but just in case you come across a few bumpy roads .....
First, if you don't already have Yahoo messenger (YIM) and Yahoo e-mail you will need to download these which is very easy,safe to download and also free. Yahoo messenger is how we let you know about upcoming tourneys and news so it is essential to have.
In order to download Yahoo Messenger you will need to go to
http://messenger.yahoo.com/
and click on "get it now".
To get to Yahoo email you will need to go to
http://mail.yahoo.com/
Now that you have Yahoo messenger and mail go to
www.myleague.com/lit_power/
(be sure to put this in your favorites ( or bookmark it) it contains a lot of useful information for future use). After the webpage has fully loaded, click on the
"Start Here "
tab in the upper left corner of the little links bar. Click on the free signup link and there are four quick easy steps to do.
Step 1:
is to select your ladder name and password, then click continue. (we strongly suggest you use the same ID that u use in Yahoo Messenger)
Step 2:
is to Enter your Yahoo email address.
Step 3:
is your
"Ladder Bux Bonus Chance",
be sure to check all the boxes as this will start you out with more bux. Bux are like Monopoly money. You win bux by winning tourneys and most of the tourneys cost bux to enter. Click continue. This will take you to a page where the more boxes you check the more bux you will start out with. It is recommended that you check all the of them that you are interested in, but it is not required. Once done, click continue.
Step 4
is the
"Activate Account",
area. By this time Cases will have sent you an activation key that is delivered in the email account you inserted in step 2. Just go to your inbox and open the
Case's "Ladder Activation Key",
(If your activation key is not in your inbox it may have been sent to your bulk mail by your spam filter especially if you use AOL or Hotmail/ MSN) it will contain your activation number, write down this number and return to
"Activate Account",
enter your activation number and then click complete. Your account is now activated and you are now able to play in any of the tourneys that you may want to. This page also contains information on becoming a Gold, Platinum or Diamond member. Becoming a Gold, Platinum or Diamond member has its benefits, so you could take a look at what each of these memberships has to offer and become one, but it is not required and can always be done at a later date, if you wish to do so.

You can now head back to Beginner lounge 8, where we play ALL of our tourneys, or you may want to go back to the main page and explore what our league has to offer.

League members will now be sending you requests to add them to your messenger. Please click allow and add to your yahoo messenger. What this does is when you enter Beginners lounge 8, the league members names (Yahoo Messenger ID's) will appear on top of the list (& in blue) in the lounge so they are easy to find for tourneys & fun socializing. We also strongly suggest to add all the TDs (Tournament Directors) because this will allow you to receive upcoming tourney links.We
ALWAYS
play our tourneys in Beginners Lounge 8. All leagues are different and have different rules so please take the time to read our "League Rules" page on the home page.
Now relax and have fun, any of our staff members will be willing to help you get acquainted with our league as well as the variations of literati we play. You will find a list of the ID's of our Lit Power staff, but I am certain that any of our other Lit Power members will be more than willing to help; we have a great bunch people in this league!
