in the begining the storie starts in a hidden part of the world where a lowely and not so powerfull ranger came to pass named ridrick came into his 15th year and decided to venture out of the glade and take on other more dangerous quests and trials. traveling great distances by land and sea he comes the city of freeport. grabbing out his fine studded leather armour from his backpack he starts off to rid the land of the foul and oversized insects till he ran across a strange opening in the mountain following it take him to a strange and gloomy place. he see's a figure walking with a strange and unknwn gate. moving closer he sees to his disbelief that the undead walk. reaching for his shield he backs away from the beast as it moves closer to feed on him. gripping his sword he begins to hack and slash at this already dead abmoniation. so to his disapointment he notices that his weapon is doing littel to no damage to this foul creature and that he should try to get out of this place before he becomes the newest addition. turning for the hallway exit he see's 4 other skeletons blocking the way out. grabbing what is left of his sheild he runs straight at them with the shield to block his body. then out from no where a shout comes out and the dead are being slane by a single short dwarf looking thing. stopping at the exit and still in the darkness he looks out and see's this small figure cutting and casting spells on these fould creatures killing them as if they where not even there.
