Just came back from roaming around in town, no need to book in tonight, booking in tomorrow 1300h. Another night to rest at home, whee! Went to the library today and borrowed some books, mainly on chemistry. I think it's time I started reading up. 1 more on Vittorio the Vampire by Anne Rice. Better be good. I was also reading up on hackers. Interesting, hiaks. Spent 3 long hours there, engrossing myself in the world of books, so much so that I felt faint after that. I had sushi for lunch (craving lar =P). Wanted to buy a Gameboy Advance today, but decided against it on the advice of shaz. This shop was selling it for s$180, but only in a package with games that will cost an additional s$60. That salesman was an idiot. Got so fed up that I stomped out of the shop. Oh well...

This is gonna be a loooooooooooooooooooooong loooooooooooooooong one. Lots of stuff happened this week. Expect lots of photos once I develop them. YEA! first of all, this week was the happening week in camp. It was pass out week! All into passing-out mood, everyone went berserk. All sorts of funny stuff came out. Blanket parties, "late night ambushes" and the list goes on, not to be described in detail due to the presence of underaged people reading this....yep. This was parade week, we had rehearsals all day. God damn the sun. Now I'm roasted. Tiring rehearsals, day in day out, march march march like toy soldiers. We also had the company happy hour this week which happened to coincide with one of the mate's b'dae. We had outrageous performaces, damned "bird jokes" (yes, you people know who you are: 5 jokes regarding 10 birds and a hunter with his gun), guitarists and our platoon warrant officer sporting enough to sing several Ronan Keating's hits. We also smashed the birthday boy with 250 water balloons, approx 50 litres of water while he was blinded folded for a supposed gift presentation. We all ended up totally wet. WOw. It was the best night of my NS life so far. Shouted till we went hoarse, cheered lotsa. Gonna miss these people, but can't wait to get out of this place. Today was my passing out day, finally a sergeant! Ok. No more shit. Everyone was excited, but also upset that we had to part. 3 mths of joy together, we really bonded as one. Oh well....

Whee, 1 more week has passed so quickly.. 1 more week to POP! I met up with Duckie yesterday, seems to be surviving well in med school, learning the infamous anatomy. He is the only one amongst all of our buds who disrupted for med studies. Good luck man, biology is something I wanna avoid for the rest for my life. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeyer. Woke up late today, as usual, about 2, and started catching up on the world news. Meetin shaz and the rest of my cabal later for "Tianxia's Annual General Meeting", aka crapping session with maybe some booze and a hell lot of jokes. Going library now, blog more tonight (or maybe tomorrow morning....-grin-)

Hiaks..Forgot to blog yesterday...or rather...came back too late to blog. Went to watch a midnight movie with Jamie and Shaz. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, aka LXG. Interesting movie, reminded me alot of the many literary texts available around. 2 of them in particular that awed me were the invisible man and Jekyll and Hyde. The original novel of the Invisible Man by HG Wells showed hidden fantasies of human kind, while Jekyll and Hyde was supposed to show the alterego of a man who's weak and his desires as his alterego. Both are supposed to be good psychological studies. Wasted the rest of yesterday away doing something I cldnt even remember. Yep, typical me. -grin-. Anyway, Cherie sent me a email that set me thinking quite a bit. The gist of the mail was quite simple, in a relationship, we always neglect the feelings of the other side and we always think we are on the losing end, always hoping to get more. Yea, maybe I guess it's human nature. If everyone really thinks about it, it is always true. More to the point, what really gives to a perfect relationship? Can there be once that both sides are equally understanding and forgiving to allow each other to lead their lives without the other interfering too much? or is there a balance to be struck in compromise for each other? I stick to the latter, some the former. Yawn.

Yawn. Boring day. Woke up at about noon, after which I went out to get some army stuff done. Went shopping for cameras for my dad. He gave me some really old models that all the shop vendors went like..."Eh, this is the old models, dun have already.... This is the newer one you want or not?" Wasted 2 hours walking around trying to find the models he wanted. Bleagh. After which I met up with Miaomei for dinner to catchup with her. Crapped all about her varsity life and all sorts of old time jokes and memories we had...been a long while...

Today I received shocking news. One of my closest classmates passed away suddenly last night. Shocking. He seemed fine the last time we met up, and we still promised to go out another time after we graduate from our NS courses. He was still joking, laughing and jumping all the place as he always is, cheering on and livening the place. I thought it was a joke. Nope. His classmates managed to go for his funeral today, I booked out late. Missed his cremation at Mt Vernon. Shock. Shock. Shock. Still in shock and I still don't believe this. Booked out at about 5pm today. In no mood to think about too much others. Biresh, we really will miss you. Fiona and Michelle almost fainted. Why?!

Whee, back in action after 2 weeks of inactivity and life in the wilderness. Feels so free. Woke up late this afternn, about 4.30...heh....catching up on sleep. =). Too bad I gotta book in later tonight. Sigh. Army life sucks. So much fun stuff happened in the 8 day exercise. Almost everyone went nuts. Heheh...so much fun, pain, mosquitoes, flies... Beautiful stars and moon... Lost alot of weight too. I was out whole day yesterday. Went to meet the 34th student councillors for a lunch gathering, supposed to meet Norman and gang, but they vanished. After that met up with yamin and his brother to crap. Following that, met Shaz and Jamie for the usual coffee. Didnt even notice it was National Day until the parade crowd swamped us. Decided to not go home early due to the overloaded transportation services, so we went pooling till about 2 and we took a MERCEDES cab home after that, rofl. We were evil. There was a long queue of cabs, about 7. We purposely walked to the last cab in the queue which was a mercedes one and took it. The other cabbies muz be damn pissed. After waking up today, I decided to go on Exercise Explore Singapore Harbourfront, alone. The place was ok, but small. Nuthing much there. I miss exploring such places with her like we used to last time. Oh well. Has dinner at pastamania, yummie! I was reading an article in 8days about 38 ways to identify the Singaporean in you. Interesting article. Too bad I missed NDP this year. I was there with Jamie last year, although he wasnt exactly the top pick for a companion there, no offence. I wanted her company instead, but what's new. At least we caught some pretty babes there that we drooled all over. Some motivators!
