The Sons of Confederate Veterans was founded in 1896 to honor those Confederate soldiers who fought and died for the right of individual states to govern themselves.  Our forefathers guaranteed state sovereignty in the Constitution of the United States.  However, The War Between the States changed that forever. Members of the SCV are working together to preserve history and to defend the true causes for which The War Between the States was fought.  We are strongly opposed to any group or organization  who uses the  Confederate  flag  as a  symbol  of        hatred!   We are proud Americans who love the American flag and pledge allegiance to it at each of our gatherings.

Ambassador John Slidell Camp holds dinner meetings on the third Tuesday of every month alternating between Covington and Slidell Louisiana. If you are interested in becoming a member or an associate member or in learning more true history, please come check us out.  Guests are always welcome.
