Melissa has known about me for a while now. I was very surprised when she had told me that her friend, Jessica LeBlanc, had told Melissa all about my past relationships. Jessica and Melissa are both from Nova Scotia. It's funny because Jessica would brag about how good of a relationship I was in, but the reality was... I wasn't happy at all.
Jessica has visited Melissa at her house. She activated her MSN Messenger account and noticed that I was online. Jessica gave Melissa the keyboard and she was very assertive and said hello to me. It was very interesting to talk to Melissa, having her be Jessica's best fried. It kind of scared me the first time around because I heard that Melissa was possibly looking for a relationship. In a basic instinct, Regan (Jessica's boyfriend) quickly considered that the distance would destory our relationship, and he was not afraid to tell her that I was not interested. I told Melissa that I would have to take some time to consider the possibly of being away from someone and still maintain the relationship. As time grew from that first conversation, Melissa became the one thing I would always think about. Soon what had developed from just a hour or so on the computer, it turned into phone calls. The first night me and Melissa had spoken, I was on the phone from 11 pm to 3 am. Hearing that sweet voice just swept me off my feet, and I knew I loved her. My new conquest was to meet this beautiful and entrapping woman.
Soon enough, I decided to travel to Halifax for the March Break however, Melissa had other plans. She decided to come see me earlier than we expected.
I was so excited that she was coming so early that I almost had a heart attack when that evening arised. I swear, no one has ever looked more beautiful than Melissa. She was definitely an amazing sight to behold... although our first hug wasn't the most powerful, Melissa made sure that she had made her presence felt. We knew we were going to be together and we never even mentioned those foolish little questions like... will you go out with me?
We spent an amazing weekend together. We went out for dinner and went bowling and just sat around and talked about our lives and how exciting all this had been.
Since this encounter, me and Melissa have grown stronger and are becoming more and more aware of what we have together. She is the most amazing woman I have ever met and I am very fortunate to have her in my life. No matter what people say about this long distance love, my heart will always tell me the truth and I will always be with her.

The Background Story
Well to start things off the right way... I should tell you some stuff about Melissa. Melissa is a 19-year-old student in her second year at Dalhousie University. She is pursuing computer science. Melissa, like myself, was in past relationships that just didn't work out. She needed something better than what she had in the past. I am still hoping that I prove myself to be better.
