Yes Folks many years ago in a land far away - well Birmingham actually- in a year that gave us DNA, Queen Elizabeth's coronation and the ascent of Everest, Penny Clover entered the world on the 22nd November.
She has done better than most English cricketers on a good day and is still batting strong.

From an early age she showed a love of the earth and everything on it, including Trixie the family dog.
Nourished by the pleasant environment of Brum and later, Evesham, the young Pip sprouted rapidly through the years......
....to become a rather glamorous teenager....
Then it was off to university to study botany ( and a bit of biology if I know those Liverpool lads)
After graduating she launched into her professional career, planning towns, keeping workers clothed, raising funds for the poor, the disabled, the aged. You name it, she's helped it.
But that's the standard stuff. Outside of work she continued to spend time with friends and family and pursue her interests......
Saving the Earth in the Lake District ... one smelly brown lump at a time!.. or taking a well earned dip at the bottom of the Grand Canyon
Messing about in boats - here seen on her father's boat Trifolium, wearing silly headgear
Which brings us to the story of Penny's only ever unintentional dip into a canal as recounted in this ditty:
A ditty by Martin
As we see Penny today some have questioned the true nature of her personality For a psychoanalysis Click here:
