Solutions

Supersaturated – containing more than the standard amount of solute specified by the solubility at a given temperature.

Saturated – containing the standard amount of solute specified by the solubility at a given temperature.

Unsaturated – containing less than the standard amount of solute specified by the solubility at a given temperature.

Solute – the material dissolved in a solution.

Solubility – the maximum amount of a chemical that will dissolve in a given amount of a solvent at a specified of a solvent at a specified temperature while the solution is in contact with some undissolved solute.

The measurement of concentration is molarity. Morality is the concentration unit, expressed as moles of solute per liter of solutions.

Ionic and polar solutes dissolve by polar solvents. But nonpolar substances do not dissolve in water.

Dry Cleaning use non polar solvents to dissolve solutes, like oil dirt, and greasy stains.

Vitamins have two different kinds, Water Soluble Vitamins(polar), which is regulated by the kidneys, and Fat Soluble Vitamins(nonpolar) that connects to special protains to go through the blood. It is stored in the Liver.

Gas is a soluble at increased pressure and lower temperatures.
