Kolby's Pictures At His Birth

He's here! He grimaced when the hospital staff cleared his nose, but he made no noise. Usually babies cry at this point, but Kolby was basically lifeless and lethargic.

This is Mom and Dad holding Kolby. The neonatologist took this picture for us. It was done very quickly. we are smiling, but our nerves are shot!

Graciously, the hospital staff allowed his mother to recover from her surgery in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with Kolby. This was the first time she really was able to see him.

There are lots of smiles in these pictures, but everyone of us really expected Kolby to die shortly. He would amaze us all!
