Our Hero meets his end while trying to save a kid from being hit by a car. This is totally out of character for the tough talking,social outcast, juvenile delinquent Yusuke Urameshi and because of that the Spirit World wasn't prepared for his death. So, Yusuke and his Spirit Guide named Botan a beutiful young girl (who is actually the grim reaper) wander around in the real world as gosts as the Spirit World tries to figure out what to do with him.Yusuke watches as everyody he thought didnt give a about him cried there eyes out. Even his arch rival Kuwabara went to his funarul with his friends trying to hold him back! His mother cried (which is something Yusuke didnt expect) Kayko (Yusuke's GIRLFRIEND)proboly cried the most.Finally Yusuke meets the ruler of the spirit world Koenma who looks like a todler (he even has a pasiphire).Well anyway,Koenma gives Yusuke an ordeal to give him his life back an egg and when it hatches it will reveil a spirit beast that can be good or bad depending on the way Yusuke acts.He gets his life back without the egg hatching (you'll have to watch the show to find out how).Yusuke comes back to life with special powers and becomes a spirit detective he becomes friends with Kuwabara and two demons Hiei my favorite charicter) and Kurama (in his demon form he looks like a fox and his name is "Youko") who help him in his assinments as a Spirit detective.
