First 1 and foremost remember this
Never land yourself here twice 2
Or run out of your rations three 3
For you are surrounded on four 4 sides
By guards whose rounds take less than five 5
All in a place not fit for six 6
Much less its name of Seventh 7 Heaven
(Seventh Heaven Prisoner's Wanton Lament)
A dream is sometimes called a second life
O children sown from fertile soil,
With your Acacian eyes so blue...
No wonder that the sky above
Is always within your view!
To stumble with eyes looking down
Is just an ordinary trip,
But while you're looking at the stars
It's such a graceful, wonderous slip!
This cruel, uncaring, callous world
May betray you all one day
But here's one thing to keep in mind
Should disaster come your way:
When made with love and tender care
By man or beast or fish or clam,
The one delight to always please
Is freshly made raspberry jam.
And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and he took a great stone, and set it under an oak tree near the sanctuary of the Lord, and Joshua said unto all the people,
"Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us, for it hath heard all of the words the Lord hath spake unto us."
It shall therefore be a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.
Girls more than boys,
Children more than adults,
Lonliness more than crowds,
Sidestreets more than main streets...
(A warning message sent out into the streets of Balalaika)
