Hello world out there!! My name is Melvin D.Hamilton,Jr. I am a 20 yr. old student at Mississippi State University majoring in art. My emphasis is Graphic Design and I'm planning to get a minor in business, so I can work for myself in the near future. I was born in Jackson, MS, but only stayed there a few years. I then moved to Brooksville, Ms and also stayed there a few years. Then I moved to Columbus,Ms where all of my teenage years were spend. There I attended high school at Columbus High and recieved my high school diploma. Straight out of high school I attended my first year of college at a two junior college called EMCC (East Mississippi Community College). But I only when one year and transferred to MSU where I' m at now trying to recieve my Bachelor's Degree.

I've been interested in art every since I was young. I use to draw cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny, Mighty Mouse, Scooby Doo, Garfield, etc. But in high school I only took two classes of art. After taking those two classes of art I stop drawing all together, so when I took my first drawing class in college my little art skills I thought I had were very rusty. So now I'm trying to better my skills as an artist and develop my own style and way of drawing. When I graduated from high school I already knew what I wanted to be and that was a Graphic Designer. But I really did not know what Graphic Design was. I was just fascinated by magazine covers and CD covers and how different images were put on them. So I wanted to know how it was done. And I also liked the different lettering and colors put in magazines and on CD covers. I like Illustration and Animation but I do not yet know if I want to do Illustration or Animation. I'm just going to wait until I get into Graphic Design to see whether I want to do one or the other or something else.

Well now I guess I'll tell what I like to do in my spare time and a little bit more about myself. In my spare time I like to exercise, play sports( such as basketball,tennis, and football), chat on the internet, watch TV, and write little poems. I love reading poetry especially Maya Angelou's. I also like to listen to rap, r&b, and blues. And I also enjoy shooting pool and playing video games. Every now and then I'll go to parties and clubs but not that often. Well that is basically all there is to know about me, so I'll declare this as being the end of my little autobiography.
