A BRIEF HISTORY… Hearts of Yucca Valley was established over thirty years ago by a group of dedicated local women wishing to raise funds for the research and preventative treatment of heart disease under the umbrella of the American Heart Association. In 1997, the group broke away from the American Heart Association and became its own nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for heart-related causes in our own Morongo Basin. We hold various fund-raising activities throughout the year such as the Grubstake Days Breakfast, a Spring and Fall Fashion Show, the Hearts Ball Dinner/Dance, and a Mexican Dinner to name a few. Over the years, we have raised over $150,000.00 -- all of which stays right here in the Morongo Basin. Some of our recent recipients have been the Yucca Valley Fire Department, Morongo Basin Adult Health Services, and the Cardiac Care Unit at the Hi-Desert Medical Center.
