Top Generic Figures:
Generic Figures have got to be my favourite kind of figure. Though they cant
stand toe-to-toe with the toughest of clix, they are a really underrated
force to be reckoned with!
The first figure today will be Vet. Hand Ninja (006), these guys are cheap
BCFers, for 18 Points you get a decent Close Combatant with 9 Attack and
even the Hydra Ability for his ranged buddies. As well as their BCF they are
fully equipped with Stealth to run from danger, or to pray on the weak. This
right here are not only one of the best Generics but one of the most
effective for it's cheap cost.
Next I'll review the Vet. Hand Ninja (009), as well as the 006 Ninja, this
Ninja is equipped with Stealth, as well as 8 Range. With these two powers
you can pull off a effective sniper tactic, hide in hindering terrain and
shoot away, this will keep you invisible from other Snipers at the same time
snipe others at 8 Range for 2 Damage, and for only 16 Points! As well as the
Hydra ability it can jack up fellow 009s' AV, making a 9! Along with the 006
this is one of the best generic pieces yet.
The R/E/V Con Artists are the cheapest perplexers out there! For 11, 12, and
16 Points you get an increased stat, doesn’t sound like much?? Perplex
Hercules' SS damage to make 8 Damage! Other than perplex the Con Artist has
no other use. The only Con (hehe no pun intended......lame.... ) I see is
the fact that you have to push first to get Perplex. Other than that jack up
your AV or Damage or your heavy hitters and watch the mayhem!
For 22 points you get a Vet. SWAT Specialist, as 22 is high for a generic,
but you get a really good Sniper. You get a Sniper with a 9 AV and 3 Damage
from his 6 Range. Jack up his Damage with his SHIELD Friends and watch some
potential KOs. This is maybe the strongest Sniper for his price in HC today!
Skrull Warrior! These two words can send a chill to even the most
experienced players. His Veteran version hosts an 8 AV and 2 Damage and 8
Range making him a decent Sniper. To keep him late in the game he's equipped
with Skrull ability!! This gives him a chance to live longer than other
Generics (which would be good in your Tourney). Skrulls are also a fun
generic team to play as they can out live even named figures!
Lastly I'll talk about the Medics! Currently the Paramedic has made other
medics obsolete with it's 8 AV at only 12 Points on its Vet version. But
most other medics have something else the Paramedic doesn't, a team ability!
These can kick up your team's performance easily, pick up an AIM Medic and
jack the AV of others at range as well as it's decent AV value and clix of
health. The other mentionable Medic is the SHIELD Medic, with its regular
healing duties, it is ready with the SHIELD ability to jack up damage for
the cost of only one turn.
So otherwise try a team like this:
Vet. Doombot (38) (Leadership/Ranged EE)
Vet. Hand Ninja (006) x3 (54) (Close Combat BCFers)
Vet. Hand Ninja (009) x2 (32) (Stealth/Range combo)
Vet. SWAT Specialist x2 (44) (Strong Sniper)
Vet. Paramedic (12) (Decent Medic)
Vet. SHIELD Medic (16) (SHIELD Ability/Medic)

Veteran Abomination (100 Pts)
Veteran Abomination is really a pest
especially with his Super Strength across his entire dial. He also has
Leap/Climb across the dial as well. To keep him alive near the end not only
for his 9 Clicks of health but Invulnerability and Toughness along his
entire dial. Get him taxied and get him to pick up a heavy item and bash the
enemies with 6 Clicks of Damage (4 + 2 Heavy Object Bonus). Rating: **** (4
of 5)
