Our organization has been working to educate the public on the lack of grandchildren/grandparent visitation rights in NC. It is our goal to have the law in this state recognize that the relationship between a grandchild and a grandparent is a special bond, one that should not be broken. The way the law is written in NC, grandchildren and grandparents have no right to a relationship if the parents decide that this relationship is not or is no longer convenient for them, regardless of any prior relationship with the child. This situation does occur because of several different reasons. Some of which are: 1. Divorce 2. Death of a parent 3. To seek revenge on a parent. We are asking for any support that you can give. All help is appreciated.

Grandchildren need their grandparents. Put a smile on a child's face; take them to see their grandparents.

The ONLY thing evil needs to thrive is for good people to do Nothing.

We need your support at the meetings. You don't have to be a grandparent to attend our meetings, you don't have to have a problem. If you care about children you are welcome.

Purpose of our group:

  1. To always consider what is in the best interest of the child.

  2. To promote public awareness and emphasis on the value of the Grandchild-Grandparent Relationship.

  3. To reinforce the need of standing for grandparents' visitation rights in the North Carolina Court System.

  4. To work for a law that allows grandparents access with their grandchildren, regardless of any conflict between two sets of adults. To be heard on a case-by-case basis.

  5. To bond with other groups of caring grandparents across the state and nation to promote the welfare of the child.

  6. To be willing to sacrifice the time, energy and money to establish new laws that will allow grandparents their God-given rights to be a part of the extended family

  7. To conduct monthly meetings according to Parliamentary Procedure, with all officers and members fulfilling their role as directed toward the best interest of the child.

  8. To present ourselves before the General Assembly in Raleigh N.C. or the congress in Washington as a strong, unified group of caring people who deserve a law enabling us to share our heritage with our grandchildren.
