Things The Cycling Club Participate In.

Golden Cycling Club, 'Life Is A Cycle!'The Golden Cycling Club is an organization that helps people be active in the cycling world today. This Club prevents laziness and use of drugs. The Golden Cycling Club is a non-profit oganization and is operated in partnership with Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The mountain that Golden Cycling Club mostly vists and maintains is Mount. 7. The road on this mountain is 16 km. long and has to be graded every 6 months or so and this can be quite expensive. In order to pay for all the grading and upkeep of the trails The Golden Cycling Club has to do some fundraising and advertisement. This, also along with donations help to provide nice trails and a somewhat smooth road up mount.7. All of the funding is made in races, booths, and donations. The Golden Cycling Club is open to donations because the booths and entrace fee to competitions isn't always enough. To Join the Golden Cycling Club you may contact Steve Fisher and ask what commitment you need to make and how you can help improve the trails on Mount.7. In order to become or stay a member you must put in a certain amount of work towards the mountain trails. Members of the Golden Cycling Club are volenteers helping to maintain and preserve the roads and trails on Mount.7 Background information on The Golden Cycling Club: Previous President was Warren Chambers, and was at one point a small club before Steve Fisher took over. This is a recreational club for the athletic type who like ADRENALIN pumping through their veins. Although this is a non-profit organization it was put together for recreational purposes only to build trails on crown land. In order to have the trails marked and have trails they needed to lobby with the Municipal Government for permisson to use trail markers. The Golden Cycling Club usually gets together every once in a while like every saturday or something like that to just have fun and practice if there is a competition happening soon. Also every so often the Golden Cycling Club puts on races or competitions to raise money and to just plain have fun.
