There are 3 steps to be followed in order to apply by mail. First you must download
and print out the application form, fill it out, and then mail it to the US
Immigration Bureau. You must enclose your photo and the processing fee. If you don't have access to a
printer or if you can't download the form, please click
here to request an application form. We can send it to you by email or by
regular mail. You can also apply
online. Green Card Lottery applications are accepted year-round.

Make sure you download the right application for you. If you married
and/or have children, you should download one of the "family"
application forms. Remember that if you're married, you and your spouse
may each file separate applications. On one application, you are the
primary applicant, and on the other application your spouse is the
primary applicant. Submitting in this manner doubles your chances of
being selected.
You also have the option of having your application submitted automatically to the
US National Visa Center EVERY YEAR for up to 7 years. This way you guarantee that
your application will be submitted every year. If you are selected in
the lottery, and obtain a Green Card, your Green Card will give you the
right to live in the United States permanently, regardless of the type
of application you select below.

the required information, and don't forget to include the photograph and
the processing fee. You must sign
the application form. Failure to personally sign the form will
disqualify your application. If you forget to sign your application, we
will send it back to you to sign. We will not sign it in your behalf.
