Cuz "Stories" no longer covers it.

Please note, I use the rating system explained on FictionRatings.com. See link for details. Some of the stories open in a new window, some don't. I have no idea of why, since I was careful to use the same code for each of them.

Chronicles of the Garen

An Unexpected Haircut-- Among other things. One chapter, rated M for violence and sexual themes.

A Phouka's Narrative-- For those who liked Selkie Queen, comes the same story in a first person narrative from Garen's perspective. Gives new insight on some specifics, and is meant as a supplement to Selkie Queen. One chapter, rated T for some swearing and sexual themes, not to mention violence.

Broken Arm-- Garen's got a cast on his arm. Pity him. One chapter, rated K+ for mild swearing. Yes, Garen swears a lot.

Carrot-- Garen rescues a toddler from a burning house. As the years pass, is she more trouble than she's worth? Two chapters and counting, rated T for cursing and adult themes.

Checkmate-- Two rival gang leaders meet at a bar to discuss their differences. And yes, one of them is Garen. One chapter, rated K+ for mild swearing.

Goth Girl Plays God-- Rhianon needs a minion. So she makes one. One chapter, rated K.

Pyry's Pancakes-- Garen slept in and Pyry's making pancakes? Help! One chapter, rated K+ for mild swearing.

Selkie Queen-- Ruy is a low-ranking phouka-on-a-mission. Maggie is Lord Campbell's daughter. Can two beings from different lands heal a grave misunderstanding? Eight chapters, or seven chapters and a prologue, rated T for mild swearing, violence, and sexual themes. Finished at last.

The Meeting-- A strange meeting in a crowded bar. One chapter, rated T for violence and mild sexual themes.

The New Guy-- Pyry's got a new roommate, someone from Lily's gradeschool days... Garen!? One chapter, rated K+ for bad jokes.

Trials of a Wanted Man-- Garen MacEwan is having a bad day. It's about to get worse. One chapter, rated K+ for mild swearing and wet socks.

Vengeance is Potatoes-- How do you get back at your landlord? Steal his potatoes, of course! One chapter, K+ for mild swearing.

What Goes Around, Comes Around-- A tale of magical revenge in Victorian Lowell. In other words, it's a Garen story.

Other Stories

Dreams of a Childhood-- Another one based on a dream. It was a pretty strange dream. It's a bit reminiscent of "Errand Girl", so if you liked that, you might like this. Rated T for weirdness.

Errand Girl-- Something I found while cleaning out my sister's old school notebooks. It's just a short little piece, a bit sad and very sweet. Rated K.

Father and Son-- An idea that I got from a dream one night. Just a short little drabble, not really for kids. Rated T for slavery and weirdness.

Jumper-- Kailyn, a student mage, goes for a walk early one morning. She finds more than she bargained for. One-shot, most likely won't be continued. Rated K.

Mist-- Faerys, mist, swords, and sorcery. What could be bad? Three chapters, finished, K+ for mild violence and evil sorcerers.

Obscurities-- Peter rants about his life as the Macreadies' indentured servant. No connection to Peter's Journey. Rated K.

Peter's Journey-- One sleepless Christmas Eve, a boy named Peter has a strange visitor. One chapter, rated K (as if it'd be anything else, it was written as a Christmas present for a three year old).

The Trafalgar Notebooks-- A collection of short excerpts about a half-demon half-deity who escapes from his abusive half brother by falling through a wormhole into New York City. Six chapters, rated T for violence, mild sexual themes and some swearing.

Fanfics

A Dillar, a Dollar-- Newsies.Whistler and Spot have a conversation. It naturally leads to trouble. Oneshot, rated K.

A Key Round His Neck-- Newsies. Remember the key that Spot always wears around his neck? Remember the woman who was looking for her son Patrick? Ever wonder if there's a connection? Eleven chapters, rated K+ for swearing, nothing icky here. FINISHED!

Call Me Whistler-- Newsies. How Whistler came to Brooklyn and met Spot. I got the idea from A Quarter A Tale by TwoBits. Thanks, TwoBits! Three chapters and counting, rated K+ for swearing and violence. Lots of violence. RESTARTED.

Diary-- Rurouni Kenshin. Kaoru finds Kenshin's diary and finds out his true feelings for her. One chapter, rated T for mild sexual themes and a rather slutty Kaoru.

Duo in Zelda-land-- Gundam Wing. Based on a dream I had in which I was Duo trapped in Hyrule Castle Town, being stalked by Captain Hook. In other words, it makes no sense whatsoever. One chapter, rated K. It's odd.

Heero Yuy Discovers Coffee-- Gundam Wing. A mission on L2 brings interesting results. Non-yaoi. Three chapters and counting, rated K+ for now, rating may go up due to swearing and mild sexual themes. Officially dead.

Hunting Girl-- Gundam Wing. I just had to write this. Jethro Tull meets Gundam Wing. Dx2, and no, I did not get that backwards. One chapter, rated M for strong sexual themes.

Kaoru's Cake-- Rurouni Kenshin. The sequel to Diary. Kenshin makes a cake for Kaoru's birthday, with a little help from Tae and Yahiko. One chapter, rated K+ for very mild sexual themes at the very end.

River of Amber-- Spirited Away. Chihiro and some friends go exploring in the woods one day, and stumble upon the old theme park. They find that Haku has been held captive by Yubaba, and Chihiro must join forces with new friends and old if she wants to save him for good. Three chapters and counting, rated K+ for mild creepiness.

Scotsmen and Blood Magic-- Rob Roy. Remember in the movie how Alasdair got killed? Ever wonder if there was some way of bringing him back? Well, one teenage witch may get her chance with a little help from our favourite phouka. Two chapters and counting, rated T, just in case.

Taffy-- Full Metal Alchemist. A shopkeeper gives Al some taffy to give to his brother. Very short, no pairings. Just yummy, sticky candy. One chapter, rated K.

The Faun's Nephew--Chronicles of Narnia. A Christmas present for Ginny. A tale about Genno, one of the castle staff who forsees the departure of the four Kings and Queens, and ends up following them on the hunt for the White Stag. One chapter and counting, rated K.

Discontinued due to lack of interest.

Rants and Poetry

Dare You-- A poem about the tragedy of Pompeii, in which an entire city was buried under volcanic ash. Rated K+ for some disturbing imagery.

Ginny's Song-- Written for my friend Ginny. Very short, but it cheered her up. Rated K.

Golden Afternoon-- A walk in a field brings interesting observations. Rated K.

Gray-- The English assignment that inspired Mist. It's a stream of consciousness sort of thing. Rated K.

Here You Are Wasabe-- I don't like wasabe, so I decided to write a song about it. It's supposed to be funny. Rated K.

Maeve-- Another folk ballad-y type thing for all you lovely people out there. Maeve was the Celtic goddess of apples, harvest, and war. Rated K+ for mild sexual themes.

Nothing Angel-- Dark and kinda weird. It's based on a picture I drew. Sorta. Rated K+ for angst.

Ode to Ramen-- Exactly what it sounds like. An ode to the wonder that is curly noodles in artificially flavoured soup.

One Step-- The story of my life, told through a series of mishaps. Meant to convey the sense that life is really a joke if you look at it the right way. Rated K.

The Vegetable Queen--Written for someone special. Gods, that sounds cheesey. It's a new sort of love poem, or perhaps an old sort of love poem. All I know is that it's certainly not current. Rated K.

Watermelon Wanderer--A bit of a nonsense song, includes several references to my life, and to an oil painting I did of a potato on top of a watermelon on top of the French flag, with a strawberry nearby. Rated T for mild sexual themes and general insanity.
