Marzurka is a kind, generous man. Seen by the
other villagers as a harmless eccentric because of his attire, he has been
a family friend of the Moran's for years.
Billy's mother had always told him and his brother that
Marzurka had magically blessed the farm to produce rich and fruitful
crops, making it the most successful farm in the village. This had been
his gift to the family for not casting him away like the rest of the
village had done.
Since the death of their parents, Marzurka had become
like a father to the boys. He helped
Billy's brother, Matthew to earn a place in a respectable school in the
city and is currently helping Billy to do the same.
Only Billy knew the truth; he was a wizard.
