Promoting Life-Long Learning

Harlem Consolidated Schools believes in academic excellence as evidenced in the banners adorning our beautiful high school Commons.
My mission as an educator of young adults is to instill a feeling of pride and confidence in my students and their abilities to reach their full potential as individuals and as contributing members of society.

Ellen Letourneau, English Educator

                            The calm before the storm!

English 12 is an elective class which is offered to those seniors who would like to prepare for college English courses.  Students will learn to analyze challenging literature through reading, discussing, and writing about the works of British authors from the Anglo-Saxon period to the 20th century.

Since this is the final English class for many of my students, I hope our work together will be interesting, instructive, and fun.  Our discussions will attempt to link the literature of the past with the lives they live in the present.
