Acceptable Use Policy

for Mrs. Letourneau’s

English Classes

Throughout the time your children spend in my English classes, they will be required to use computer technology and the Internet to complete a number of activities.  Mainly, these activities will include processing essays, individual research for papers, and group work creating a variety of multi-media presentations.  In order to ensure that my students gain the technological and educational skills necessary to become life-long learners in the 21st Century, they must have access to computers.

We are quite fortunate to have in my classroom five computers which are connected to the District’s network and the Internet for our daily use.  With the privilege of using this technology comes responsibility.  In the following document, you will find my expectations for acceptable student use of the computers, a list of unacceptable behaviors, and the consequences of violations of these guidelines.

Thank you for taking the time to read and discuss this Acceptable Use Policy with your children.  Together we can instill the technological, learning, and etiquette skills which will help your children to develop these life-long learning skills.
