Weapons: The Prince of Atlantis has a vast array of underwater weaponry at his disposal. Tridents and Harpoons, used to defend the city from any who would do her harm. His most prized weapon is a gae-bolga. It is one of the most sturdy weapons Namor employs. The metal was forged from the hottest underwater volcanos, in the deepest parts of the Ocean. The pressure from this area, and the rate which the ore is solidified makes it near impossible to reproduce, while granting it near indestructability by conventional weapons. The metal is extremely durable, and yet so lightweight that it makes underwater melee combat easier for the Sub-Mariner, and was crafted and shaped by Atlantis' most masterful artisans.

If the surface dwellers want to make peace with us, they are living in a delusional world as they always have. If they cannot respect the oceans, their own environment, or even each other, how can they hope to make a peace with us?"

I RP Namor as the Prince of Atlantis, attempting to defend his city as a sovereign, and defend the Oceans from the evils of the surface dwellers. He has employed a network of sea creatures near New York Harbor to do patrol work and such. Namor dislikes surface-dwelling countries polluting the ocean, and killing his sea creatures. And has taken a more active part in destroying those who seek to do the Oceans -- or Atlantis, harm. Duties of the state involve attempting to find peace between Homo Sapiens, Homo Superior, and Homo Mermanus. He carries several Atlantean-era weapons during his stays in Atlantis. He is a master trained in all forms of underwater combat, which varies greatly from surface-dwelling combat. He does have knowledge in surface-dwelling combat as well, but is nowhere near as skilled as he is under water. He employs various underwater weapons as well. Tridents and harpoons namely. When he arises from the surface, he normally uses his hand-to-hand combat skills.

Atlantis also has a super-hero team much like the Avengers or X-Men. Namor heads these heroes to defend Atlantis and all her people, sometimes clashing with the heroes of the surface world. Some of these heroes come from the Royal Army. Others were civilians with special talents, and some are surface dwellers that call Atlantis their adoptive home and reside in special chambers designed for air-breathers. They have no true allies in the surface world, viewing their politics as immature and petty, however they do rise from the depths to defend the Earth as a whole.

Atlanteans are known as Homo Mermanus, they are a highly evolved society that spans larger than homo sapiens. Their bodies have evolved to withstand the harshness of the ocean. Their bodies require water to breath, and cannot live on land without "saltwater suits". Their bodies are devoid of normal hair, and their hair on their heads are smooth, and feels oil-like, allowing the Atlanteans to become more stream-lined. Their vocal cords have evolved to produce perfect speech in the water, and is partly due to involuntary psionic ability in their vocal cords. Their highly evolved minds have caused a symbiotic relationship with the ocean itself. Atlanteans can detect another for hundreds of miles using subtle electronic signals in the water. They can mentally command sea creatures of any shape and size to do their bidding. They can often be seen riding giant sea creatures, sharks, marlins, whales, etc. These animals are by no means enslaved. For as the atlanteans cannot live without the sea creatures, the sea creatures cannot live without them. Thus the ecosystem of Atlantis is very delicate.

Atlanteans are primarily vegetarians. Eating other sea creatures are barbaric to them, and over the thousands of years of flourishing, their bodies no longer require animal nutrients.

Warfare is a thing of the past for the Atlanteans. As the rest of their race killed each other during their evolution, Atlantis was relocated. Warfare among the people is non-existant. However, they do have a Royal Army to defend Atlantis from surface dwellers as well as animals that may seek to eat them. Naiya is a Royal Guard in this army, she is pictured below.

Atlantean religion is focused solely on the god of the Ocean, Nephtae. He closely resembles the Greek god Poseidon and the Roman god, Neptune. Their God is the foundation of their society. Massive temples deep inside Atlantis house Golden statues of Nephtae, and there is a Clerical hierarchy as well. It is through Nephtae that the Atlanteans believe created all life on Earth, and it is through Nephtae's kindness and wisdom that Homo Mermanus survive to carry out his will. They believe Judgement day will sink the surface dwellers into a watery grave and that his kindness will embrace the faithful. Atlantean clergy hierarchy goes as such: Arch Priest/Priestess, Grand Priest/Priestess, High Priest/Priestess, Prime Zealot, Zealot, and Initiate.

The city of Atlantis is an engineering marvel. Located in a deep crevasse in the northern Atlantic, the Atlantean City was built on each side of the Crevasse. Due to plate tectonics, the Crevasse expands a little more, allowing the city to grow naturally rather than expanding. It is built from ores on the ocean floor, and due to the pressure, the molecules are fused tightly together making Atlantean buildings exceptionally sturdy and durable. They also have mastered a form of hydro-fusion energy as well as perfect hydrogen fuel. As a result, Atlantis has a power surplus, as water is the most abundant form of energy on the planet. Their machines are powered by an aquatic power source, a mini-reactor that runs entirely on water. The city expands miles down the Crevasse and ends on the brink of pitch blackness. Below is the mines. Surrounded entirely in hydro-fusion energy to light the way. The vents below are tapped directly into the Ocean Floor and produces vast quantities of energy, as well as precious ores for use in construction, armor, and weapons.

Above ground are the majestic skylines of Atlantis. Businesses dot the area, and the two biggest buildings are the Palace and the Seven Seas Hotel. The Hotel is actually accustomed for many different species rather than just Atlanteans. Special rooms have been made specially for air breathers, as well as for life forms across the Galaxy. The Palace also has rooms as such, but is much more secure and bigger, and used purely for diplomatic meetings.

Atlantean Hierarchy has been passed down from generation to generation. Once democracy was sought as the primary way of government. But too many disagreements caused the splintering of the Atlantean people. Kingdoms were plundered by weapons of mass destruction, and Atlantean Warlords vied for control. Eventually the first Atlantis was destroyed, and the survivors relocated Atlantis into the Northern Atlantic. Located in a deep crevasse, Atlantis rebuilt itself under the elected leadership of an Emperor and Emperoress. Their children would be taught years of tradition and would dictate the people. However the clergy of Nephtae would grant a heavy influence on the Royal family, ensuring checks and balances. Namor was the only royalty born a half-breed. The Royal family goes as such: Emperor/Empress, Prince/Princess, Warlord, High Commander, and so on down the military/government ladder. The Atlantean royalty is by no means a cruel dicatorship, and they rule with kindness and wisdom rather than an Iron Fist. While they can be perceived as arrogant, they do no less but the very best for their people. Atlantis is not known to the general populace of the world, including S.H.I.E.L.D., the CIA, and others. Only Royalty may grant surface dwellers the knowledge of the whereabouts of Atlantis. The Shi'ar empire, however, is fully aware of Atlantis and Empress Lilandra has a steady alliance with Atlantis. The only Earth beings that know of Atlantis are the Fantastic Four, Dr. Strange, and a few select people that have been granted to safeguard the location.
