Appearance:  Keplin is a 55 year old halfling. He has dark brown curly hair and hazel eyes. A few streaks of grey have appeared in his hair recently. He claims it gives him an "air of distinction." Keplin is often seen wearing fine-woven clothes and a black apron. He is the owner and innkeeper of the Silverstar Inn. 

Personality:  Like most halflings, Keplin is a homebody. He prefers to stay in the safe confines of his tavern. Keplin is a kind-hearted, sympathetic soul who, like most bartenders, is good at listening and giving advice. He welcomes all to his tavern, so long as they behave themselves. His sense of humor is at times, a bit subtle, but those who get to know him learn he is a rather interesting individual.

History:  Keplin was born to Cecil and Melody Silverstar in the town of Sumsiw. Even as a child, he showed extraordinary skill in cooking, even by halfling standards. When he became of age, he joined a "traveling restaurant" band. This was a group of people who traveled from town to town, selling food. Keplin was apprenticed to the cook of the group, and learned a great deal from both him and the group's brewer.  While with this group, Keplin had many adventures he likes to sometimes tell as stories. No one is quite sure which stories are real and which are made up, as all seem rather far-fetched.  When Keplin became 31, he married Isidore Seedgem and about two years later, they had a daughter, Lili. Keplin then inherited an old abandoned tavern in the city of Tennic from his great uncle. He moved there with his family, fixed the place up and created the Silverstar Inn.  Keplin is currently the owner of the Silverstar Inn. His daughter Lili, is now 22 and works there as a waitress. His wife works there as a maid. Recently, his inn has suffered hard times and is slowly going into debt..  He's trying to find ways to increase business and cut costs.
