Quick Fact/s
Collins is one of five NYSWF Grand Slam winners, and the only man to ever hold all singles titles in the company.

Jonathan and his wife have a daughter, Madison.

Ring Attire/Appearance Entrance
Ring Attire- Jonathan has forsaken 'traditional' wrestling gear, in favor of some baggy silver pants, and a sleeveless t-shirt, the shirt usually promoting some rock band. Precautions have him wearing elbow pads and wrist tape. Collins also wears tape over his hands, mostly to protect his wedding ring, along to prevent him from losing it in the middle of a match.

Appearance- Don't let the small frame fool you, there's a ton of muscle packed in on Jonathan Collins...but a lot of it goes unnoticed, probably because of his "rocker" look. Jonathan has several tattoos and piercings, all of them quite noticable at times.

Piercings:
Left Ear (x2)
Left Ear Cartilage
Right Ear
Lower Lip
Right Eyebrow (x2)
Tongue

Lately, the piercings on Jonathan's earlobes have disappeared in favor of the larger holes musicians such as Brandon Boyd have in their ears.

Tattoos:
Left upper arm/shoulder (retro Anaheim Angels logo, circa 80's)
Right upper arm/shoulder (spider resembling the one from the band Cold's logo)
Between the shoulderblades (Celtic Knot)
Left Forearm (tribal-like sketching of the sun)
Lower back, near the tail end of the spine (Japanese kanji, meaning "dragon")
Base of the neck (barcode, that if scanned, reads "I love Helena")
Left Shin (The logo for A Perfect Circle)
Chest, arched over the belly button (the word "TOUCHED")

Other than that, Jonathan has naturally brown hair (which is now being shown for the first time in his career), crystal blue eyes, and the most important part of his trademark look never seems to leave him...his Anaheim Angels cap.

..Due For A Miracle..

..It's Finally My Time..

The opening guitar riffs of "Last Train Home" by Lostprophets begin to play over the PA System, and the crowd begins to stir. As soon as the first hint of drums begin in the song, Collins slides out from the back, ready to embrace the crowd's cheers. Collins walks down the ramp and won't enter the ring until every fan who wanted a handshake gets one. Before going into the ring, one very lucky kid gets his t-shirt and a high-five before he slides in and climbs to a corner, saluting the crowd with one of his trademark poses.

 History Personality
It's hard to get Jonathan Collins to discuss the period of time where people referred to him as Jonathan Storm, but at the same time, some of that's selective. Collins is the fifth of six children born to Derek and Bridget Collins, and one of those five in the wrestling business. The basic information of his life seem to be very out in the open. He has a degree in communications from Southern California University, where he also dabbled in baseball, but was not good enough to pursue a career in it. Collins' wrestling experience is globe-spanning, as he spent a few years in Japan, fine tuning his skills before coming across the pond to return to the states. Collins resides in Virginia Beach now, moving there in July of 2003, with his wife and daughter.

As far as discussion of his remaining siblings, he only talks about one...his oldest sister Michelle, a psychiatrist in Southern California. The remaining siblings, he only offers one comment usually.

"They're alright...but we don't normally talk."

Recently, Collins has become a bit more reclusive about personal history with the death of his father.

Things, however, have become quite tricky for Jonathan in the past few months of his life. After joining NEW, Collins found himself under intense scrutiny from Michelle, who was and still is, convinced that Jonathan my have experienced a great deal of emotional trauma following his father's death. Although she convinced him to try therapy, Helena cleared him from continuing any farther in the sessions. Collins continued to move along in his NEW career, managing to capture the International Title from David Strife. Shortly after losing the title, Collins took time off for knee surgery, a problem which finally forced him away from the ring. This is the setback of his reckless style of wrestling, and the reason he has shed over thirty pounds in his North American career.

Upon his NEW return, he was promptly welcomed back in a match against Morgana and Trevor Wrath. Although he was not victorious, Collins definitely showed signs of being the wrestler he once was. After a few weeks, Collins was rewarded with a return match against Wrath for the coveted International Title. In one of the best matches of Collins' career, Jonathan scored the victory, and painted the most beautiful picture of his career, as he held his daughter in one hand, and the International Title in the other. However, this picture perfect moment in time was short lived. On December 11th of 2003, his wife Helena was killed in a tragic car accident. Collins immediately vacated the title and went to attend Helena's funeral. Since the funeral, Jonathan has become quite reclusive. It's not known if Jonathan is still residing in Virginia Beach, but the only thing confirmed, is that Jonathan has kept a full home since then. His roommates include his older brother Robbie, along with Alexander Ashton and his close friend Lindsey Romack.

Suprisingly, Jonathan Collins is a very happy-go-lucky individual, considering the several personal demons he's had to deal with in his 26-year life. Collins is an unusual breed when it comes to ring personality...as he's finally made the transition from a true heel to a true face. He almost never cheats, and does his best to move within the rules. Collins is a very honourable man, and does his best to be an example for his young daughter, Madison. Collins can be a bit shy when it comes to dealing with new people and new situations, but once he is comfortable, he can be quite the character.

Favorite matches Gimmick
1) OCW Deathmach -

A barbed-wire cage, that has a glass ceiling starts the description. A scaffold that has the opponents ten feet above the glass ceiling is above that, with the usual weapons scattered around ringside. Both combatants each bring one other weapon to the ring, and they start on the scaffold. The match can go anywhere, and end anywhere, but one stipulation must occur before the match can end. Someone must go through the glass ceiling. In all documented occasions of this match occuring, Collins has been a participant, and victorious on all accounts.

NYSWF Big Japan Classic 2001 vs. NOTHING
HWF Undying 2002 vs. Vic Williams
HWF Manifest Destiny 2002 vs. Lance Sterling

2) Ladder Match -

It's not like you haven't heard of this before...but a match like this tends to be the standard favorite match of all cruiserweight competitors. This favors Collins in a way that it allows him to take some of his aerial moves and get more impact with them.

Ask Collins himself, and he'll tell you he doesn't have a gimmick. Dabble deeper, and realize that Jonathan isn't always so serious and you'll find out that there is a bit of a mask he wears when he steps into the ring. That of a modern day philosopher. Seperating the two is a key to understanding Jonathan Collins.

Standard Moves Signature Moves Trademark Finisher/s

Jonathan's standard moves seem to be a flurry of martial arts style kicks and punches, but unlike most people, Jonathan is very fluent with the DDT. He has mastered almost every variation, and is known to create a few on the fly. His innovation with his arsenal makes it very difficult to pinpoint what exactly would be "standard" for this athlete. The most recent example of this, has become his love of what Collins refers to as "No Fear High Flying", a style that basically throws caution into the wind and unleashes his daredevil nature. A link to most of the new moves which he is accustomed to bringing out can be found here.

There is, however, a semi-signature celebration Collins has, which has been immensely popular with fans. What started as an inside joke blossomed into a crowd favorite...The Stormaroonie. What is it you ask? It's the Spinaroonie! Although the name has changed for the man, the celebration hasn't. Collins doesn't constantly use it, as it's more of a joke with the fans.

1) The Static Lullabye - A very basic move in Collins' arsenal...this move was formerly referred to as "The Nonpoint", but has since changed. Collins holds the opponent in a full nelson, then spikes them down for a DDT. If with one of his more experienced tag partners (Michael Trey, Mara Storm, MISSLE), the two each lock in a half nelson and use it as a double team move, called "The Double Negative". Collins tends to rotate the opponent in mid-move to set up for an aerial move or an aerial finisher.

2) The Full Collapse - This move is an example of Collins' desire to innovate his offense. The move is an implant spinning facebuster. Collins hooks them like he would a reverse DDT, and lifts them for the implant. In mid-move, he reverses and drops them flat on their face.

3) Miseria Cantare - A semi-sunset flip powerbomb, for the lack of better terms. To properly reference the move, consult NWA-TNA archives to see The Amazing Red's "Code Red" move.

4) The DeVeloper - This is hardly one of Collins' most often seen moves, but he pulls it out in situations when it can cause the most damage (ladder, table matches, etc.). The move is commonly referred to as "The Styles Clash". Collins holds them in a standing headscissors, and then hoists them as if he's going to land a piledriver. Collins then manuvers his legs in FRONT of their arms and shoulders, before dropping them on their face. Sometimes, he rolls over, and he has an automatic pinning situation. (Note to those who don't watch NWA-TNA, and only WWE. Crash has done this manuver before, and they referred to it as "The Crash Landing")

5) Angeldust - While it seems VERY out of place for a wrestler of North American descent to pull off, his training in Japan inspired him master the art of spewing mist. Although it has little place in his arsenal anymore, Collins uses it on occasions to stop an illegal choke on him, or to buy him enough time for an aerial move.

1) The Wingless Angel DDT

The newest finisher to Jonathan Collins' arsenal is a frightenly gruesome DDT to behold, which only adds to his legend as being the master of the move. Technically, it's a double arm Reverse Russian legsweep DDT.

2) The Halo Buster

This finisher is just one more reason to believe that Collins is NEW's resident innovative genius. Collins lifts up the opponent for an Atomic Drop, but throws them instead. However, he throws them with enough angle to flip them, and drops them with a powerbomb. (Note: This is mostly for athletes 230 lbs. and under)

3) The Real Folk Blues

Collins third finisher is probably the most graceful of the three. Collins sets the opponent up for a powerbomb, but instead turns it into a facebuster. On the opponent's decent, Collins turns his body to hit the opponent with an ace crusher.
