The Fathers House
THE PASSION
I was on my way to a new adventure or so I thought! With all the steps it took to get me to that warm tropical location, all the shots, the frustration of re-ordering the lost passport, the worry about Malaria, and those little green pills I took..... All, for not! Little did I know that the plans that I made would change without even the slightest glimmer of forwarning. While on my way to Venezuela, somewhere over perhaps the midwest states bulliting through the clouds in my vessel 747, I woke up with the hightest fever I have ever felt in my life, I felt like my face was on fire! This was the worst thing I could possibly think of to happen (at the time). I would have to turn around in Atlanta GA. not even making it to my final distination which if I continued would have been another 3 hours to Caracas by plane and another 24 hours on the bus to Santa Elena Venezuela. The realization of not seeing my son and not being able to follow the path I thought was set out for me took what little strength I had left. I was at that moment, at the time of realization the most lost and alone on a plane full of strangers bound for an area I didn't know. I have been sad in my life but I must say this moment of apsolute sadness was intense. I turned back in Atlanta and slept for 2 days when I returned home to the bitter rain in Sacramento California. You may think that my adventure stopped there... But God winked at me.....
