Statement of purpose

I am a recent graduate of the University of Arizona, and I am seeking web-based employment.  I am proficient in English writing skills, and I have taken courses in Spanish, German and Latin, in addition to honors English.  I am also a thoroughly trained scientist with a diverse scientific background in molecular biology, cellular biology, microbiology, anatomy, immunology, and virology.  I am confident that I possess all the skills and qualities necessary to become a resourceful Ads Quality Rater.

EXPERIENCE

Laboratory Processing Technician, Cbr Systems, Inc., Tucson, AZ    2006-Present

Separated and processed umbilical cord blood for long term cryogenic storage of recovered stem cells.  Processes involved strict adherence to SOPs, sterile technique, and accurate pipetting skills.  Thoroughly trained on multiple processes for blood separation and lab hematology for cell counts, blood typing and cell viability.

Student Employee- Accounting, The University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ    2004-2006

Student accounting assistant for the Office of Admissions and the Office of Enrollment Management.  Accomplished efficiency in daily tasks including financial document preparation, fee processing and deposits, departmental accounts payable, reconciling and bookkeeping.  Achieved effective management of multiple tasks under minimal supervision.  Created and maintained organizational file and database infrastructures and conducted thorough research for reconciled transactions.

Undergraduate Researcher, UMC Orthopaedic Research Laboratory, Tucson, AZ    2005

Research aid was provided for a graduate student investigating in vitro and in vivo canine cartilage properties to contribute to a larger human joint implant research project.  Training included sterile technique, culturing background, preparation and operation of load and strain electronics, and animal testing certification.  Succeeded in self-guided literature research, collaboration with other students, and designing and testing experimental procedures.
