Amazo (I)

The android creation of Professor Ivo, the first Amazo exists solely to absorb the Advanced Human energies that can fuel his immortality-obsessed master with eternal life. Duplicating the powers and abilites of the entire original JLA membership is often the primary source of nourishment for Amazo's "absorbing cells." Though the League has often defeated Amazo and returned it to its electonic "sleep", the android appeared to have also copied their enemies' will to live, as he has returned several times to threat the Justice League.

However, in 2043, Amazo became part of an army of super-villains created by Visharon to prevent the JLA and Avengers from stopping his master, Timeshaper, from taking the Creator's powers. During the battle, Amazo and most of his fellow villains were killed in the nuclear explosion, caused by the death of Captain Atom, that destroyed Coast City.
