NEVER FORGET
911
America's lifeline to safety

This web site and background theme is dedicated to the men and women who risk their lives daily, So, please join me in ensuring that we are always mindful of what our police, fire, rescue and "LOVE ONES" endured during the unthinkable attack on 9/11/01. This is also dedicated to my father for all that I have accomplished in this lifetime who reasently passed away after a short battle with Pakinson's. I love you. I hope you are enjoying heaven.

AND NOW FOR THE BELLS AND WHISTLES!!!

Below you will find links to you favorite POLICE, FIRE/EMS and Emergency Dispatch sites and a few of my own that I know you will find interesting.
Just a short into to the creator "ME".

Here I am to the left in Cancun May 2001. I couldn't resist showing off the bluest waters on earth. To the right is a certificate I created in honor of September 11th The picture to the far right is from my living room wall. It's my dedication to 9/11. Officially I started Emergency communications in 1973 with my involvement in REACT monitoring. (CH 9) I quickly went from the 23CH AM to SSB trying to hone my skills as a communicator. I remained working SSB and CH9 for the next 10 years, leading up to a full time dispatch position with Caddo Fire District 6 in 1984. Fire District 6 is located south of the Shreveport La. metro on Hwy 171. At the time I was there, they had two stations, four firemen and four dispatchers. 911 didn't exsist back then and we communicated on a simplex vhf frequency. I have read that they are central dispatched on 800 trunk and have added a station..Congratulation guys.. During the five or so years I was there, I learned that EMD certification would be a necessity and a medic license would come in VERY handy. I am now in Alabama and work at Shelby County 9-1-1 as one of their dispatch supervisors, and I no longer work in the field. Shelby County answers all 911 lines for the county and dispatches for 29 Fire and EMS agencies. Each community has their own police dispatcher, so we transfer law enforcement calls.
