Ethnic origin: German
Place of origin: L2 colony cluster
Height: 5'
Weight: 90 lbs.
Eye color: Blue
Hair color: Blue-Black
Personality: Stubborn but cheery, fights for what she believes in and doesn't let anyone changer her mind (except for Duo)
Japanese Seiyuu: Araki Kae
Hilde makes her grand debut in episode twenty-three entitled
Duo, The God of Death Once More. Duo is hiding out at Colony L2 and
watches an OZ speech, which he knows is complete bull. Hilde walks in
expressing her opinion after listening to his. Hilde says that she
joined OZ because she wanted to help protect the colonies, a goal that
OZ promised in their speech. Duo plays along and ends up getting an
OZ application for his little chit-chat. Soon after, Duo attacks the
Lunar Base and is pursued by Hilde. He ends up surrendering, saying
that they are both fighting for the colonies and that he doesn't want
to hurt her. Hilde becomes rather confused by his words.
Later, Hilde confronts Duo with the kind of action most
trained soldiers of OZ do. She points a gun at him and demand he
speak. He does so and begins talking about how OZ is manipulating
people like her into joining them. At first she doesn't believe him,
but then Duo keeps talking and she begins to understand. Soon after
she leaves, Duo breaks out and sets out to destroy the Lunar Base.
This time, he's got support from Hilde. She tells him to keep going
while she holds off the other mobile dolls. Duo completes his task
and heads off. Will we ever see our heroine again? You damn right!
Hilde returns in episode thirty-two entitled The God of Death
Meets ZERO. When the Gundam pilots split up and went there separate
ways while the Alliance began to crumble, Duo is back on Colony L2
only running a salvage garage. His partner just so happens to be
Hilde, well dressed up after no longer leading a life in OZ. They're
living together with Hilde providing the shopping while Duo keeps
himself busy either working or something more lazy. It's in this and
a couple other episodes we see Hilde and Duo developing a very strong
relationship. And it's in this episode and a few others that we see
them developing much more than friendship.
In episode thirty-two, Duo is forced to test Wing ZERO at gun
point. He enters the hallucination stage and visions himself
destroying Colony L2 and watches Hilde die. Duo totally freaks,
awaking from the sequence, that he saw such terrifying vision. Seeing
Hilde die was a real spooker. But it doesn't end there. In episode
forty-five entitled Signs of the Final Battle, Hilde sneaks on board
Libra after Duo pleads her not to get involved several episodes ago.
Hilde hacks into the space station's mainframe and steals the ship's
data. Making a run for it, Hilde is chased after by mobile dolls using
battle data of Gundam pilots Heero Yuy and Trowa Barton. She gets
beaten up real bad and it looks like the end for our heroine if not for
a last minute rescue by her dark knight, The God of Death. Duo
easily destroys the dolls and has a little heart-to-heart with an
injured Hilde. She tells him what she did, he calls her a damn idiot,
she forgives him saying that knowing he was going to say something
like that before hand, she gets wheeled off to the ER of the
Peacemillian. Will we see her again? Yep, but a little bit. She has
a cameo at the very end of Endless Waltz working with Duo at the
Salvage Garage and in the Episode Zero manga, Sally Po asks Hilde
where she could find Duo.
