Monk
The nice thing about being a monk is...umm...its easy :p. Seriously, monks have huge hp, and deal good damage. But they cannot provoke, which makes them poor tanks for a group. If you are looking to get to level 30 fast and dont care about your original job, then the monk could be a route to go.

Strategy/ mini FAQ

Monks are powerhouses who can't hold hate, and thats their problem. Much like a dragoon, monks do great mele damage, but cannot provoke, thus crippling their partying ability. The difference is that a monk does not have any major job abilities that the party will benefit from, which alienates a monk even more. However, soloing is not too tough at the early-mid levels, and if you want to completely change paths when you hit level 30, the monk could be for you.
