While Rangers don't quite have the versatility of Black mages, they're ability to isolate a target is ideal for pulling. A black mage cannot pull with a spell for fear that it may attract others around the spell, but a nice distance arrow will only bring the desired target. Stick to distance, be prepared to do TONS of farming for gill, and accept your role as a puller and the Ranger is a very rewarding job. Always make sure you are well stocked before heading out, you will not be invited to a party if you are poorly equipped, since your usefullness relates to your equipment more so than any other job.
