Roose is basically on the scene for comic relief. He has a whimsical and whinny kind of voice that is unmistakable. It makes everything he says cute and funny. He is a very genki kind of character and also the cry-baby of the group.

We first meet him in the new candidate line-up. He is overweight and clingy around Yamagi, seeming to know him pretty well. He also ends up getting hit alot by Yamagi because of this. Boy does he love to eat! always asking for larger portions of food too. Later on when he is partnered up with Wrecka, he goes through a miraculous change. Somehow using a 'secret' technique, his partner made him lose a ton of weight and he rejoins the group, a skinny little stick. His fellow candidates barely recognized him. His relationship with Wrecka seems great and he blushes when he talks about her. His weight loss makes him the target of Clay's expirements, but it also decreased his stamina so Roose has a harder time keeping up with the rest of the groups physical standards.

His EX is yet to be revealed and his motives for being a pilot are unclear. His past is also unknown.
