Lan, much like Suu has special powers and abilities. His abilities, deal with the virtual/electronic world. Kazuhiko enlists Lan's help in finding a safe route to Fairy Park, because Kazuhiko knows that Lan has these abilities.

Lan's protector and guardian is Gingetsu, however, their relationship is quite more complex than that. He has been living with Gingetsu for two years. But yet that poses an interesting question, Kazuhiko makes jokes that when Lan came to Gingetsu he was but a child...and Lan looks around 16...is there something more to this?
