Gene is the main character of Outlaw Star. He like shooting, fighting, drinking, and ladies. When he was 14, Gene's father's ship was attacked and in order to save his Gene, his dad threw him into the only escape pod on the ship, and sacrificed his own life so that his son could live. To this day, because of that, Gene has a deathly fear of space. He and his business partner Jim Hawking run an odd-job business that includes everything from bounty-hunting to bodyguarding, mechanical work to simply ordering parts. Gene is also the pilot of the Outlaw Star.
