Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's 02

As the battle continues, Fate, Yuuno and Arf fight against Viita, now aided with her dog familiar Zafira and the sword wielding Signum. Nanoha’s allies don’t stand a chance now. The Raging Heart convinces Nanoha to use a Starlight Breaker, even though it’s low on power. Unfortunately, Shamal sticks her arm through Nanoha, needing the energy for her book of darkness. Nanoha is able to use her attack but then collapses. After Shamal, Viita, Signum and Zafira teleport away, Yuuno and Fate try to heal Nanoha. Chrono and Amy get this on screen and Chrono freaks out upon seeing the book of darkness.

Again I’m impresses with an episode entirely based on action. The new characters are darned cool though, so it was interesting to see what they can do. I wonder how Nanoha and Fate will stand a chance against these people. I’d still also really like to know how Hayate plays into all this. Next week will be a non-action packed episode apparently. Time to put my lousy Japanese skills to the test again.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's 01

The series begins with a girl named Hayate. Suddenly, a book on her shelf starts glowing and speaking in German. Unfortunately, I can’t speak German, nor can I read the Japanese subtitles, so don’t ask me what it said. Anyway, the scene soon changes to Nanoha, who’s training by trying to keep a can in the air. She manages to hit it up 100 times, but can’t score a basket by getting it into the garbage pail. Of course Nanoha has a life besides her training and she’s quite sad that she can’t see all her old friends. Luckilly though, she gets a letter from Fate. Meanwhile, there’s some trouble brewing as the crew of the Ashura discovers the emergence of the lost logia. That’s not all though. Nanoha is attacked by a creepy and psychotic girl named Viita who has a German speaking weapon. *glare* Vitta is exceptionally strong and Nanoha is clearly losing their fight. Desperately, she calls for her friends and regardless of the fact that it’s so very cliched, Fate and Yuuno arrive just then. Fate begins to fight Viita, wanting to protect her “friend.”
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this series and I’m not at all disappointed. First off, the new OP is amazing. I probably like the song and animation better then the first OP. The new ending theme is alright, but nothing special. I really liked the action is this episode. Viita is a psycho. I can’t believe Nanoha took such a beating. I wonder how well Fate will do in her fight next week. Considering that there’ll be even more enemies arriving though, I’m guessing that she won’t have an easy time. I wonder what’s up with Hayate and her glowing book. I hope to see more of her.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha 13 (Final episode)

Nanoha flies to the room that Fate and Arf are in. She tells Fate to fly to her, which she eventually does. The huge earthquake that hit the whole town stops. There?s a calm on the Asura as well. Amy bandages Chrono, while Yuuno bandages Nanoha. Nonoha asks where Fate is, Yuuno says she?s on the brig with Arf because she?s an important witness, but she has to be in isolation for now. Shortly after, Lindy presents Nanoha and Yuuno with a certificate for their performance. Nanoha is still worried about Fate. Chrono tells her that she was an accomplice so normally she?s be sentenced to prison for a couple hundred years. However, it?s different this time because she was unwilling. He says that he can get the higher ups to understand that. Nanoha and Yuuno attend a short meeting with Lindy. Yuuno needs a place to live but doesn?t really want to go back home and spend all his time searching for relics. Nanoha invites him to continue living with her. They then discuss what exactly Alhazred is. Yuuno says that it was a place with advanced technology and secret arts that existed in space before the Lunar calendar was made. Chrono comments that it was destroyed during a dimensional dislocation. According to Lindy, it has ultimate magic that could grant any wish no matter what. According to Chrono, anyone who studies magic knows that traveling back in time and reviving the dead is impossible. Precia wanted both things though, so she believed that she could really do them in Alhazred. Lindy says that because she risked her life, Precia might?ve actually found Alhazred, but they?ll never know. Then it?s time to eat. It?s Nanoha?s last meal on the Asura, but Amy invites her to come back whenever she wants. Chrono tells Nanoha that he?ll contact her once they find out Fate?s verdict. Nanoha and Yuuno then say goodbye to Chrono, Lindy and Amy before being transported back to their normal town. Nanoha goes home and her family is happy to see her, as are her friends at school. Nanoha is happy to be able to sleep in her own bed again. Once she falls asleep, Yuuno transforms into human form and tucks her in. Nanoha awakens to a phone call from Chrono, sayingthat Fate will be transferred to their main office and a trial will be held for. She?ll most definitely be found innocent. Also, Fate wants to see Nanoha so she rushes over. Chrono and Arf give them some time alone. Fate says that she was happy that Nanoha was so honest with her. She replies that it was because she wanted them to become friends, but thn realizes that Fate will be leaving today. She asks her if they?ll meet again. Fate nods. She then asks Nanoha how they can become friends. Nanoha says all you have to do to become friends with someone is call their name. Fate does just that, and Nanoha takes her hand. Fatye thanks her. Nanoha begins to cry so Fate wipes her tears and tells her that she just learned that when you see a friend cry you also become sad. They hug and Fate asks her if when they meet again she can call her name again. She also wants Nanoha to call out her name and says that if next time she?s the one in trouble then she?ll be the one to save her. Arf is very touched since Nanoha was able to make Fate happy. Before it?s time to leave, Nanoha gives Fate her ribbon. Fate does the same. Nanoha sadly watches Fate, Arf, and Chrono leave. Such an amazing episode. It?s got everything a last episode needs, which would be an ending that actually makes sense and something that?s a concludes everything but still leaves room for a sequel (and they are making one.)

After thoughts- I?m impressed by Nanoha?s evolution. I only started watching it because I loved CCS. Though I liked it all along, the earlier episodes now seem so boring in comparison to the later arcs, which have nothing at all to do with CCS. Though I believe I liked that series better as a whole, if it continued in the same pattern then Nanoha would just seem lacking. As for some favorites, my favorite character was Arf. I guess she was kind of annoying at first but she was a very strong character both physically and emotionally. She was very devoted to her cause of protecting Fate. Precia said she was a poorly created familiar, but I believe it was the exact opposite. Creating a being with emotions can be a very useful thing, especially for people like Fate who are in need of emotional comfort. Seeing Fate?s reactions to actually having Nanoha as a friend in the end were quite touching. It?s clear that she doesn?t really know how to interact well with other people, but I think now she?ll be able to become a better person. I really hope she passes her trial. My favorite pairing in Nanoha was Chrono/Amy. Yuuno/Nanoha was cute, but just too boring. Chrono and Amy have some pretty adorable scenes, though there?s not too many. They?re interactions are pretty funny, especially when Chrono gets embarrassed by Am?s uber-sweetness too him. I don?t know if it would completely wortk though, since it seemed like Chrono had a bit of a crush on Nanoha too. I?m very excited about the sequel. I?m betting that it will focus on Fate. That would be an interesting change of pace. Something that will be good about the second season is that since they?ve already opened up things for the plot, it will probably get off to a quicker start. Untill then, I?ll be patiently waiting. ^_^

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha 12

Chrono, Nanoha and Yuuno head to battle while Arf stays to take care of Fate. Lindy tells them to try and arrest Precia until she arrives. They discover some robots programmed to destroy anything, which Chrono easily destroys. As they continue on, he warns the others not to step on black paths, because it will disable all of their magic including flight magic. They then split up. Chrono goes after Precia and Nanoha and Yuuno head to the top floor to seal the energy force. Arf tells Fate that she?s going to help too. Fate still hasn?t gotten over her shock, so she can?t respond though. Arf tells her that she?ll be able to spend her time however she wants once this is over. Hearing this helps Fate a little. She thinks about how she always wanted to be accepted by her mother and still does. She also feels bad for putting Arf through all this. She also thinks about Nanoha. She decided that she was wrong in living only to be accepted by her mother and decided to go fight too. She fixes the Bardiche and they decide to fight together. As Nanoha Yuuno and Arf fight off robots, Fate comes to their aid, saving Nanoha. She asks to team up, making Nanoha very happy. After a brief battle, they split up. Nanoha and Yuuno infiltrate the power core and Fate and Arf head towards Precia. Lindy arrives their first and tells Precia that Alhazred is only a legend but she doesn?t believe her. She wants to create a perfect world for herself and Alicia. Chrono disagrees with her views. Then Fate and Arf show up. While Nanoha finishes collecting the jewel seeds, Fate tells her mother that though she?s not Alicia and is a doll, because she was raised by her she is her daughter. Precia just laughs at this but Fate says that because she?s her mother, she?ll protect her from anything. Still she?s not accepted. Amy tells everyone to escape, as the area they?re in is caving in. Precia says that she?s going to Alhazred, and she and Alicia fall into the? whatever the heck that is. Fate and Arf watch this and are crushed by collapsing rocks. That?s it for the second to last episode. Nanoha?s shaped out to be pretty impressive, and I doubt that the conclusion will disappoint from what I?ve read about it. I really liked the insert song used in this episode. It fit well with the mood of the scene. Also, I think Precia just keeps getting more and more evil in each episode. Just when I keep thinking she can?t get any crueler, that maniac surprises me again.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha 11

Fate remembers when her mother was sweet to her, however she always called Fate Alicia. On the Asura, Amy plans to get back to tracking and Chrono attempts to brush back an annoying hair of hers. Nanoha and Fate?s battle continue, and Fate is impressed at how strong Nanoha?s gotten, and she?s more determined to win. Yuuno and Arf are worried about Nanoha, but she tells them not to interfere. Nanoha is able to endure Fate?s attack, and Fate just barely endures Nanoha?s. She then binds Fate and tries an even stronger attack, starlight breaker. It succeeds and Fate plunges down into the water. Nanoha goes after her. Fate?s wand is zapped and is destroyed by Precia?s lightning. The Asura crew plans to use this opportunity to take Precia into custody. She?s decided now that Fate is a waste and that she should now put her plan into motion. Lindy doesn?t want Fate to see her mother get captured, but it?s too late for that, as it?s already on screen. However, she sees more then just the failed attempt. There?s a girl floating in a tank who looks just like her. This girl is Alicia, and Precia is very defensive of her. She then tells Fate that she?s just a doll made to replace Ailcia, who was killed during an experiment to create something greater then familiars. Fate got her name because of the name of a research project. Her mother has always hated her. Fate is very upset about this and Nanoha is angry. Precia prepares to leave for Alhazred with Alicia and her jewel seeds. Chrono goes to stop her. Pretty impressive. Chrono and Amy are rather cute together. I doubt they?ll get any real follow up on this small relationship though. Precia is even more insane then ever in this episode. It?s quite scary with her constant maniacal laughter. This episode reminded me of Tohno?s back story in Air episode 5 a bit.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha 10

More coolness in this episode. Things are beginning to be resolved, such as Arisa?s anger towards Nanoha. However, they threw more mysteries at us. Who?s Alicia? I?m sure they?ll explain soon enough. Nanoha and Yuuno get yelled at for disobeying but don?t get in too much trouble because it was helpful. The Asura crew does some research on Precia, Fate?s mother, who is currently giving Fate another beating. Arf angrily attacks her, but is deflected by a shield. She eventually breaks it, but is shot away by a powerful blast. Arf transports her self away, apologizing to Fate. Fates mother then goes to tell her that she needs at least five more jewel seeds. She also says that Arf left but she could get her a new familiar because she?s still on her side. Meanwhile, Nanoha goes back home temporarily with Yuuno and Lindy. Lindy creates a story to cover up what really happened. Nanoha sends Arisa and Suzuka messages that she?s home. Arisa comes to see her, but is distracted when she finds Arf bleeding on the floor. She takes her home and cares for her. The next day at school, Suzuka is glad to see Nanoha and Arisa is still mad. She tells them that she has to leave again tomorrow, but they make plans to meet after school at Arisa?s house. At her house, Yuuno tells Nanoha that he?ll find out what?s going on with Arf and that she can play. Chrono, who?s also watching, assures that nothing will happen to Fate so Arf agrees to tell them as long as they promise to save Fate. Nanoha receives the information. Chrono says that he?ll arrest Precia and Nanoha?s main objective is to save Fate. Later Arisa tells Nanoha that she wasn?t mad at her because she was keeping secrets but because she seemed so uneasy that she thought they would lose her. She assures them that she won?t go anywhere. The next morning, she, Yuuno and Arf rush off. Fate shows up and tells them that she won?t oppose her mother. Nanoha challenges her to a fight in which they put their jewel seed on the line.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha 09

Nanoha and Yuuno try to collect the remaining jewel seeds. Now that Yuuno is human the job has become even easier and he and Nanoha also seem to be forming a bit of a relationship. Nanoha tell Yunno that for most of her life she was very alone. When her father was sick, her sister took care of him and her mom and brother had to work at his shop. When they return to the Asura, they learn that Fate is trying to get all six of the remaining jewel seed at once and is using way too much power. Aginst Lindy's wishes, Yuuno uses his magic to tranport himself and Nanoha into Fate's barrier. Once inside, Yuuno fights Arf and Nanoha goes to talk to Fate. She convinces her to team up so they can try and get three jewel seeds each. Yuuno and Arf help them by fighting off the whirlpools from the insane storm. After they stop the seeds, Nanoha asks Fate to be her friend, knowing that she's alone too. Before she can answer though, a very strong force attacks her. Arf goes into a rampage. and tries to get the jewel seeds, but Chrono arrives and takes three. Quite a cliffhanger. I've been extremely impressed with Nanoha lately. What will happen next?

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha 08

Arf and Fate escape when Chrono arrives. Nanoha and Yuuno go to talk with him and Lindy and Yuuno is told to revert back to his regular form, freaking out Nanoha. They tell Nanoha and Fate to stop collecting the jewel seeds and let the professionals do it. After they leave, Chrono, Lindy, and a girl named Amy study a battle between Nanoha and Fate and become curious about Fate's motives. Fate at the time is with Arf, who's still very upset about all that's happened. Yuuno convinces the crew of the Asura to allow them to continue searching for the jewel seeds. Nanoha tells her mother an edited version of her story and she gets permission to leave and try to finally settle things. It seems that Nanoha is reaching a closure. There's still a few more episodes and though I know a bit of what's to come from reading about the raws I'm curious about how things will turn out.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha 07

Nanoha and Fate conclude there battle, resulting in Fate being injured and the raging heart being damaged. Arf bandages Fate, and they discuss her mother. Fate seems to like her, but Arf doesn?t. The next morning, Nanoha watches her sister practice with her sword, but is really more focused on Fate. She notices how sad Fate seems. Meanwhile, Fate and Arf go to visit Fate?s mother and a girl named Lindy is investigating dimensional disturbances with her assistant Chrono. When Fate meets up with her mother, she gets a beating for only finding four jewel seeds (or lost logia, as they?re also called). What a loving parent. Arf is angered by this, but Fate still believes that her mother was rightful in her actions. Nanoha is having problems as well, since Arisa is ignoring her completely and a new jewel seed has appeared. It mutates a tree into a monster. Nonoha and Fate must once again compete for it. However, Chrono arrives to break up their fight. Nanoha is getting seriously great now. I?m looking forward to the next episode.

Mahou Shoujo Lyracal Nanoha 6

This was another really good episode. It explained how Nanoha, Suzuka and Arisa weren't always friends. Arisa is quite mad at Nanoha now for not telling them her secret and Suzuka is just worried. Nanoha's having problems of her own, as she's busy collecting the jewel seeds and tring to get Fate to become her friend as well. Fate's mother seems like she'll be pretty interesting from what I've heard about her and from the fact that Fate seems forced to get the jewel seeds for her. I'm anticipating the next episode.
