Blister card packaging. Scheduled to ship in July 2001. (49/42060) (CAUT: 3 & 4) NOTE: Not available outside North America and Puerto Rico. This item is sold to retailers in case lots. ...Even though a lot of toy retailers and comic book stores were anticipating the release of these figures in July 2001, when asked, Toy Biz denied the rumour of this assortment and any future assortments, told a few people that they had sold their license and everything was CANCELLED!!!! Another collector in Australia (Adam Hall) wrote me earlier in 2002 and told me that Toy Biz had told him that they hadn't sold their Xena license at all and that all future assortments had been cancelled due to the TV series being cancelled. So who knows.

Xena and Argo two-pack |
I think this two-pack consisting of a 12 inch Xena and her horse Argo, was supposed to be a Toys'R'Us exclusive but apparently never made it to the shelves.

5" Temptress Xena |
Proposed Asst No. 41045: Temptress Xena's
costume is real material and looks like the Harem Xena costume crossed with the Xena I costume. The figure in the picture was made using an X-Men Light-ups Psylocke body and a Xena II head (I think). She is shown with a sword and a repainted Xena I shield.
Toy biz had originally proposed a range of xena/herc figures called "5 inch Hercules Legendary Warriors" which were described in the toy biz catalog as: "Hercules and his
friends must team up to stop the evil plans of Nessus
the centaur. The heros must use their special weapons
and skills to defend themselves from Nessus's kicking
legs and battle mace and end his reign of terror."
The range includes Nessus: leg-kicking centaur,
Hercules: mace hurling hercules, Xena: Temptress
costume Xena, Iolaus: catapult back-pack Iolaus."
While some of the figures mentioned ended up being included in the normal hercules range, Temptress Xena did not.

12" Xena & Gabrielle |
Proposed Asst. No 48480: Originally designed to be apart of a new 12 inch Collectible Warrior Women Series, this assortment included at least two dolls, Xena and Gabrielle. Both dolls came with an extra set of material costumes. The Toy Biz catalogue says "Xena and Gabrielle hide themselves from the forces of evil with their peasant clothing disguses. Camouflaged from danger they are prepared to protect the downtrodden and unfortunate with their legendary courage!" Judging by their clothing these dolls were based on the first Season of Xena.
Xena comes dressed in her usual warrior princess costume and her peasant disguise is her harem outfit worn in Season One.
Gabrielle is dressed in her regular Amazon Queen costume and her peasant disguise is her brown crop top and skirt worn for the second half of the first season.

Gabrielle Hercules two-pack |
I *think* this picture came from one of the ToyFair magazines, although I'm not sure as this was borrowed from another website (RTM). The original photo that I found had this Gabrielle figure posed in front of a barely readable sign that said:
ASST. NO. 42075
5" HERCULES TWIN PACK
- Two fully posebale, detailed action figures
- Comes complete with battle accessories
- Features popular characters from the Hercules & Xena action hours
- Ages 5 and Up
Availability - July

Xena & Gabrielle two-pack |
I'm putting up both of these pictures of what appears to be the same item, except that in the 2nd photo the shield blades are extended and the sword that is above the shield in the first photo is missing from the second photo. The vertical sword between the shield and Gabrielle also appears to be different, but without a clearer picture I can't really tell. Other than that I'm not sure what the difference is between these two items and I'm not sure if both were proposed to be released or just one of them. Obviously neither of them did. The Xena figure appears to be a Xena 1c with a shield repaint. I'm not sure what they were smoking when they came up with the Gabrielle sculpt though. Bright yellow hair??

Xena & Hercules twin pack |
Proposed Asst No.41055: 5" Hercules Legendary Warriors twin pack info from the Toy Biz catalogue: "It takes two legendary warrior to stop some of the ghastly creatures that only the gods could conjure. It's twice the mythical madness when these great
warriors fight against the evil forces of darkness."
On a Hercules card, this looks like a Xena II Warrior Disguise with repainted costume and weapons. Apparently this two-pack and the special edition two-pack mentioned next, were both packed up ready to ship but were cancelled at the last minute.

Magazine with photo of Huntress Xena sent to me by Greg Capps | Xena & Hercules Special Edition 2-pack |
| This seems to be the "Special Edition" version of the Hercules and Xena two-pack and Xena appears to be a silver painted version of her Warrior Xena figure. Greg Capps, another Xena collector, sent me a page showing a very small photo of the silver xena which was called "Huntress Xena", and so I tried to scan her at 200% but she's still a bit fuzzy. Apparently these two-packs were shown in a ToyFair 1996 article in "Tomart's Action Figure Digest". Does anyone have a copy that they could scan in better pictures for me or at least read what the boxes say at all? |

| Fallen Angel uncut proof |
| My friend owns these so I will have to get the scoop from her when she has time. Otherwise the uncut cards shown below are of the proposed box art for the 12 inch Fallen Angel series (Xena and Callisto) that were going to be released in 2000. There were even rumours floating around in the earlier part of 2001 regarding their intended release but Toy Biz told me that they do not intend to make or release any new figures or dolls and has since sold it's Xena license. |

Photo courtesy of Greg Capps. | Fallen Angel Gabrielle Uncut Purple Card |
| This is the purple box proof for the intended 12 inch Gabrielle doll that was to be included in the proposed Fallen Angel assortment. This is apparently a one-of-a-kind proof and is different in shape and style from the other Gabrielle box proof. |

 Uncut Blue Card
|
Proposed Asst. No. 42055 Item No. 42056: This item is apparently a one-of-a-kind blue box proof for the intended 12 inch Gabrielle doll that was to be included in the proposed Fallen Angel Assortment 42055. Some interesting things about this card are along the bottom there are color swatches (yellow, red, black etc. for testing the colors and there is also a "warning" at the bottom that tells you that this proof is the property of Toybiz Int'l and any damage or loss is punishable by a $3000 fine (in Hong Kong dollars). Another cool thing is that there are faint guide lines on the front of the box front showing where the boxes would have been cut and folded. There is also a faint line showing where the clear window would have been.
Proposed Box Front: At the very top is a cool Fallen Angel logo that looks like a set of wings, only the left wing is a black demon wing and the right wing is an white angel wing. It has the name Gabrielle written in a kind of dripping red blood font. All down the left side is a big side view of Xena holding a staff. Towards the bottom is a large Xena Warrior Princess logo with a picture of "soul" Gabrielle dressed in her new soul clothes after just having been cruxified by the Romans.
Proposed Box Back: At the top to the right is a large Fallen Angel logo. To the left of that is a close up of Gabrielles face from the picture included on the front of the card. Under this ia big Xena Warrrior Princess logo with the phrase "As seen on the popular television series" written to the left of that. There is also a photo of the newly redeemed angel, Callisto.
Card Measurements: This uncut proof card measures approx. 25.5 inches long by 19.5 wide and appears to be complete for final production.
Card Story: Far away from Greece and deep into the Middle East, the brave Gabrielle travelled with her faithful companion, Xena the Warrior Princess, and their newfound friend, the prophet Eli. With a message of peace, she used passive aggression to stand against the Romans. In the face of an entire army she continued to battle. But it was too much for Xena and Gabrielle, who were both captured and tortured.
The souls of these two great heroes were released into Eternity, and met by a choir of guardian Angels to be carried into Heaven. Led by the evil Callisto, Hell's minions swooped upout of the abyss and attacked. Xena found salvation with the Arch-Angels, but Gabrielle was dropped and lost. Stolen into Hell by the demon Callisto, she was tempted and tormented by the fruits of Hell. The Arch-Angel Xena rescued Gabrielle from a demon's fate. She was blessed in paradise and rightfully transformed into the radiant Angel Gabrielle. Yet Xena sacrificed her own soul to redeem Callisto and remained in Hell. To free her Gabrielle must pass the ritual of purification. She must face the Angel Callisto, an enemy she has fought and hated, and she must forgive her. |
