One Last Chance: Part 1

Chapter 61
The party was thinning out, friends and family saying their farewells, a bride and groom who couldn't wait to be alone. In the large patio's back corner, asleep in a chair, was Gokou. Then, he got a rough awakening.
"Lets go, Kakarotto, party's over." Vegeta woke him up. Gokou rubbed his shoulder, Vegeta had hit him to wake him up. He hadn't knocked him over, but it still hurt. Gokou got up and followed Vegeta towards the patio's door, and Trunks and Marron.
"I had the weirdest dream." Gokou commented. "My father was alive..." Gokou rubbed his head. Vegeta looked back and smirked, maybe Kakarotto wasn't as stupid as he looked.
"I want a phone call tomorrow." 18 told Marron as she and Krillian said good bye to their daughter.
"OK honey, come on." Krillian began to lead her off. "Congratulations." Krillian and 18 got off. Gokou looked ahead into the parking lot, Chi-Chi, Gohan, Videl, Pan and Goten were already gathered. Gokou and Vegeta were the last ones there. Vegeta had swong back to get him.
"Later, Trunks." Vegeta smiled at his son, shaking his hand, and sending him a mental message that made both of them smirk a bit on the evil side. Both Saya-jins left, Gokou's mind was still drifting.
"Ah, Vegeta?" Gokou got his attention. "Where the hell is your family?"
"Sarah took them back to the palace." Vegeta said quickly. "I'll expect you back to train by tomorrow morning." Vegeta stopped dead, crossed his arms and teleported. Gokou once again cursed Vegeta's Saya-jin ideals, but said nothing and went to meet up with his family. Sarah carefully landed her ship in palace Vegeta's courtyard where she always did.
"We're home." Sarah sang, looking over to her passenger who was entranced looking out the window. "Yo, new Vegeta-sei to Bardock." Sarah laughed. "You want to see this place from the other side of that window?" Sarah opened the door. She flew out, Bardock slowly behind. "Sorry nobody's here yet really. They're all just coming back from a wedding." Sarah smiled.
"Oh god, who's the new lost soul?" Bardock rolled his eyes. Sarah growled a bit.
"Lost soul nothing. Trunks, ya know, Vegeta's son." Sarah smiled back.
"The half breed." Bardock concluded.
"Bardock, please. That half breed could kick your ass." Sarah reminded him. They landed infront of the palace's back glass doors. "Well, here we are. I know, it looks nothing like the original palace, but two very different kings built the places." Bardock looked around. "Come on, I left Bra here alone. I gotta make sure she's still here alone." Sarah sighed. "Stay here, OK?" Sarah walked up the large stairs. Bardock waited for her to disappear and walked down a side hall. The last door on the left was a large medical room, complete with regeneration tank. Bardock walked back down the hall to the stair case. Looking across the room he saw two doors under the balcony. He walked up to the one connected to the larger of the two rooms.
"Wouldn't go in there, if I were you." Sarah started down the stairs, making Bardock spin. "That's Vegeta's study. Majorly off limits." Sarah walked up to him.
"Bet he lets you in." Bardock smirked. Sarah nodded and lead him up stairs.
"Bra knows you're here, but I wouldn't bug her. She a bit on the depressed side, something about her and her boyfriend. Who by the way, just to warn you, is your grandson." Sarah half laughed. Sarah walked him down a long hall and opened a door. "Guest room. You can crash here for tonight. I'll round up your family first thing tomorrow morning. Vegeta, Golem and I will be around if you wanna spar."
"Where is Golem?" Bardock remembered.
"He took his date home. Chances are he wont be home until morning. But with this girl, he could be home by 9." Sarah laughed. "She's a fighter too. Not exactly totally head over heals for him, but interested." Sarah explained. "I'll be downstairs in the gravity room, K?" Sarah turned and left. Bardock walked into his room and looked around. Nicest place he'd ever stayed in. He didn't really care though. Walking over to the window, his opened the glass and flew out into the early night.

Sarah got down stairs and jumped into her teleport. Damn, was Bardock going to be surprised to see his whole family hours before Sarah had promised. Sarah's first stop: Gohan's house to pick up Gohan, Pan, and Videl if she wanted to come. She got there, finding Pan sitting on a large rock in her front yard.
"What's up my young friend?" Sarah asked, in a very good mood.
"Not a hell of a lot." Pan sighed. "Here to see my dad?"
"And you." Sarah crossed her arms. "Someone I want you guys to meet. Your mom can come too if she wants." Sarah walked to Pan's side.
"Good luck getting my parents out of the house." Pan laughed.
"Oh, OK." Sarah knew how to handle this. She walked around the side of the house. She heard the shower and walked over to the next window. "Hi ya's Videl." Sarah knocked on the window. Videl was in her room, brushing her hair.
"Hi Sarah." Videl laughed. "You could have used the front door. Looking for Gohan?"
"Yeah. I got someone I was hoping you guys would meet. Family reunion type deal." Sarah noted.
"Sure, when do we leave?" Videl questioned, opening the window.
"Like, A.S.A.P." Sarah almost hated to tell her.
"Did I miss something?" Gohan called from the next room, hearing voices. Videl sighed.
"I'll get him and meet you in the living room in a minute. And bring Pan in, OK?" Videl disappeared. Sarah walked to the front of the house, Pan let her in.
"So what's going on?" Pan asked.
"I'll tell you in a second." Sarah waited until everyone was in the room. Gohan looked really funny with his hair soaking wet, dripping and getting his back wet. "OK, here's what's going on. Gokou's dad was at King Kai's. I brought him back with me, but because he's still dead, and beyond the help of the dragon balls, he's only got 6 days to spend here. He really misses his family and I wanted to let him meet all you guys. I was hoping you'd all come meet him, ya know, just make him happy."
"He's not another totally crazy Saya-jin, is he?" Videl asked.
"Hey..." Came up in different volumes from Sarah, Gohan and Pan.
"No, he's perfectly sane. He's just really lonely. It'd mean a lot to him, and hell, he's been around for a long time, you'll definatly learn something." Sarah sighed. "But we can't tell Gokou. I want to surprise him."
"OK. Sure, I'll go." Gohan smiled. "Sounds fun."
"I'm in. I wouldn't mind see how well I stack up to one of Vegeta-sei's greatest." Pan smiled.
"OK, well, I guess we're all going!" Videl stood up.
"Good. I guess you guys can stay as long as you want, the whole 6 days would be great. I know this is major last minute, but hell, so are most things." Sarah jumped. "Gohan, can you get everyone to Palace Vegeta? We're all meeting in the boys' basement as soon as possible."
"Sure, see ya in about an hour." Gohan smiled. Sarah ran out. Next stop, the Son home.

Chapter 62
"It been so long since I've had a decent fight." Bardock told himself as he flew around new Vegeta-sei. "I'd better not be rusty. Hell, me rusty, after fighting Freeza for 20 years in limbo? No way in hell." Bardock smirked. "Maybe I should get back. I never even told Sarah I was leaving. She'll probably think I got myself killed... or whatever." He swung around.

Everyone in Vegeta and Gokou's families was gathered now in the lobby. Gokou was the only one who didn't know what was going on.
"Yeah, he went flying, I think. He's not in the palace." Sarah walked into the room.
"Great, we get the guy's dream reunion together and he can't even stay put for an hour." Vegeta crossed his arms, sitting on the stair rail.
"Would somebody please tell me what's going on?" Gokou pleaded.
"No way, Kakarotto." Sarah laughed. "This is as much a suprise for you as it is for our guest of honor." Then Vegeta's sixth sense tweaked.
"He's here." Vegeta smiled. "I'll get him. You all stay here." Vegeta flipped over the rail and ran up stairs. In his room, Bardock was coming in the window. "Bardock." Vegeta caught his attention.
"Vegeta?" Bardock almost couldn't believe his eyes. "Good god, prince Vegeta. I haven't seen you in almost 50 years..." Barodck smiled and shook Vegeta's hand. "Sarah told me you've hit some serious power. A level 5? Amazing. Then again, I should've expected it from you."
"You would. I was beating you ass when I was 6." Vegeta laughed. "Then again, you were a rare challenge." Vegeta lead Bardock out of the room. "Come on, I want to show you something." Vegeta lead him down the hall to the balcony.
"Hi ya, Bardock! Suprised?" Sarah started to fly up over everyone. Bardock was speechless. "You coming down or what?" Vegeta jumped the rail, Bardock wasn't far behind him. Over the next couple hours, Bardock was able to seriously catch up with the family he'd never known, and talk to Vegeta and family. Gokou however, was avoiding him. After a while, Gokou managed to get out of the palace and headed out on his way to a valley in the mountains he liked to train in. He got there and just sat on a rock looking up at the stars. He wanted to go home.
"Thought I'd find you out here." Bardock made Gokou spin.
"Just go away." Gokou went to take off.
"Wait." Bardock manage to get him to stop. "You don't even want to talk to me?" Gokou landed, but wouldn't show his father anything but his back.
"You represent everything I left behind. Eveything I tried so hard not to become. Why would I want anything to do with you?" Gokou's voice was cold, like the way he'd spoken to Freeza.
"Like it or not, I'm still your father." Bardock sighed. "And you might be more like me then you realize. You think of Saya-jins as the monarchy. We weren't all like Vegeta and his father." Gokou turned around.
"But you still killed innocent people." Gokou's voice was still cold.
"How would you know? I never killed anyone who didn't deserve it." Bardock growled. "And it's not like you haven't taken your share of lives. We all have or reasons." Gokou didn't have anything to say.
"You know, I always thought you'd hate me." Gokou admitted. "Because I wasn't like you."
"Maybe you are and you just don't know it." Bardock sighed. "We're two very different people, but you're still my son, and I could never hate you. I waited 50 years to see you again and I didn't really expect you to hate me." Bardock walked up to him.
"I don't hate you, dad." Gokou sighed, his eyes hit the dirt. "But I've always been compared to you by anyone who knew you. Vegeta constantly tells me I'd be a disappointment, since I'm so human."
"Remind me to hit him later." Bardock half laughed.
"Yeah, if you let me back you up." Gokou laughed. "I was wrong. You're not so bad."
"Same. But I wasn't wrong." Bardock smiled. "Now come one, lets get back to the party. I don't think anyone's going to like the guests of honor running off." They started towards the palace. "You know," Bardock sighed. "I'll really proud of you. You turned your life into everything I wanted mine to be. You're a real hero, and everything I could want in a son."
"Aw, dad..." Gokou turned bright red.
The next morning, with all the Saya-jin Z warriors in one place, most of them were sparring. Sarah and Gohan were out in the court yard, going back and forth with punch/kick combinations.
"Come on, Gohan. To slow..." Sarah complained. Gohan was fast, but Sarah had always been faster.
"That's it." Gohan through down his arms and jumped back. "Lets just spar, alright?"
"Your call." Sarah powered up. From the balcony above and off, Bardock looked on as Sarah beat his grandson's ass. Gohan broke free of a fireball onslaught and swung up.
"Kame Hame Ha!" Gohan fired down, Sarah saw it coming.
"Try mine." Sarah laughed. "Kame Hame Ha!" The two beams clashed, Sarah won out and Gohan went flying. He pulled himself up before hitting the ground. "Got ya." Sarah made him spin, she'd come up behind him. A double fist and Gohan's face was in the ground. Over all, over powered and out done. Sarah then noticed they had an audience. "Aw get up! Just go Super Saya-jin already." She pushed him.
"Fine, but your blood's on your own hands." Gohan huffed. Getting to his feet, he powered up into level 2. Sarah smirked and just right to level 3, giving them both one more level to work with. "Masnkua!" The huge gold beam rocketed toward the unphased Saya-jin.
"Nice try." Sarah appeared over the edge of the explosion. "Fireball,. Charge!" The solid ball slammed Gohan head on. Sarah watch him hit the ground. "Sorry Gohan." Sarah landed by him. "You OK?" Gohan sat up rubbing his head.
"I think so." She groaned. "Don't do that." He managed to stand up.
"If you kids are done killing each other, Vegeta's yelling about something." Bardock flew up, then turned back to the palace. Sarah and Gohan shrugged and followed.

Sarah had got into the palace, aired the smoke out of the kitchen, and picked up the slack. Chi-Chi and Videl had accidentally caused some major smoke making the huge dinner. They were sort of making a coming home feast for Bardock, a old fashion royal Saya-jin style huge feast, just like the old days. The only problem was some of the stuff was really easy to burn...

All the Saya-jins sat around the huge table, Bardock and Vegeta at either end. Bardock still clearly remembered the same scene, but with Vegeta's father. There was barely an inch of the table showing there was so much food, all of which the Saya-jins would get to.
"This is great. I honestly had forgotten what a real feast was like." Vegeta smiled.
"Yeah, but at least this time you're not feeding brustlesprots to your dog." Bardock laughed.
"Dog? Vegeta, you had a dog?" Gokou laughed.
"Hey, so did you." Bardock laughed. Vegeta smirked.
"Yeah, which Spike loved to beat on." Vegeta could still remember his pet.
"Spike? Figures. Probably a pit bull." Gohan laughed.
"Nam." Vegeta corrected him. "Not technically a dog, but still."
"Yeah, I got a picture. A boy and his nam. Too cute." Sarah laughed.
"Oh no. If I find it, I'll burn it." Vegeta threatened.
"No good, I've got a copy." Bardock laughed.
"Well dad, you're screwed." Golem laughed. That got everybody going. After a lot of bad jokes, reminiscing, and way too much turkey, everyone crashed in the main study.
"That was great." Trunks flopped in a chair, overstuffed as always. Marron couldn't help but laugh.
"Yeah, I couldn't eat another bite..." Goten sat on the fluffy gold carpet.
"Yeah right." Bra sighed, flopping next him. "You're always hungry." Vegeta sat in his way cool overstuffed leather chair and relax as everyone sat down, Sarah next to him.
"We all ready for the tournament?" Vegeta asked. Bardock perked up. "You can come if you want."
"Wouldn't miss it." Bardock laughed. "I have to prove I'm not to old for this."
"You sure dad? This is the biggest toenament we do. Even Vegeta and I get challenges." Gokou warned.
"Hey, if he wants to come, let him." Gohan butted in. "Right?"
"Did I mention how much I love this kid?" Bardock laughed.

Chapter 63
Gokou walked down the hall that night to get some training done in the gravity room. He looked in the window, Sarah and Vegeta were sparring.
"Hey." He walked in. They both stopped and looked at him. "Sarah, aren't you supposed to be training Pan?"
"Your dad's doing it." Sarah back flipped to a sit on a platform. "He's a better teacher then I am and Pan's been bugging me about the Spirit Bomb for months." Sarah laughed.
"King Kai taught my dad the Spirit Bomb attack?" Gokou asked rather mindlessly.
"Just better make sure the kid's ready for tomorrow." Vegeta growled. "You and Pan have to win your division flawless." Vegeta told Sarah.
"Hey, this is me we're talking about! I've never even had to go over level 2 in a tournament. I'll handle any challenge and I'll win like I always do."

Iceson ran over old footage and records of Freeza's attacks and conquerings. Freeza had been incredible, considered beyond unbeatable, and he fought like it too. Almost never hit, his attacks crisp and clean, and as Iceson had discovered, half mentally derived. Freeza actually hadn't been physically super strong for a good portion of his life. Most of his empire right up through the destruction of Vegeta-sei had been built from mental power turned into physical ki. Then he turned totally strong out and into a turn Super power. But it proved even if he wasn't incredibly strong, Iceson might be able to fight. He might not be half as strong as even the weakest of the Saya-jins, but even then it was something, and right now he'd take anything. He turned back to the tapes and ran over some old stuff.
"How am I supposed to match that?" Iceson half cried. "Freeza was a god. And I'm supposed to impress a regular godess." Iceson cried, plopping on his bed. "With her going to the tournament tomorrow, I'll at least have some time to try to figure this mental ki out."
"Iceson!!" Chiller's voice came from down the hall. "Lets go, I don't have all day!!"
"Oops." Iceson jumped up and into the hall. "Coming!"

"Pack it up, we're leaving in 5 minutes weather you're read or not!" Vegeta headed for the palace's front doors. He was going through his dreaded pre-tournament stress.
"We're all ready." Sarah ran up behind him, followed by the others. Vegeta looked over the group of fighters: Gokou, Gohan, Goten, Bardock, Trunks, Golem, Sarah, Pan and Cammy. Jeice was meeting them there. The competition was by invitation only, but Vegeta had pulled strings to get Cammy in due to Golem. Season vets that had been doing this for 50+ years to an inexperienced youth (Cammy).
"Alright then." Vegeta growled. "Here we go." They were all swept into the teleport, off to do what they did best: fight, but this time for their lives.

The huge metropolis of arenas covered the major portion of a planet. The planet was used souly for the tournament, once a year for 3 days. To the Z-warriors, this was familiar territory. Walking in to the complex's main building, they saw some old friends, but mostly just people they'd beaten the shit out of before. Sarah smirked as she looked around, not picking up a trace of another female fighter with even half her power.
"This is going to be an easy year, Vegeta." Sarah smiled, taking his arm as they walked through the crowd.
"You never know." Vegeta reminded her. He was starting to tensed up.
"Relax Vegeta, who could possible beat us any way?" Gokou laughed.
"Like I said, you never know." Vegeta sighed. "How many of the super powers we faced were we ready for?" Vegeta seemed really worried, which was very out of character for him.
"Hey, even if we don't know, who cares?" Bardock butted in. "Besides, better a good fight then a bunch of push overs! At least that's how I see it." The tournament was all one on one, sadly no tag team.
"Sound good to me." Golem laughed.
"Yeah, OK." Vegeta smiled. "Lets go kick some ass."

The crowds were starting to thin, most of the sign ups were done, but the late people were still coming in. The three human guys at the desk were talking as they signed the last few people up.
"Hey, what's going on?" The guy on the left looked up. Someone was causing some serious fear amongst the remaining people. Then the crowd split enough for them to see.
"Hello boys." Chiller smirked walking up. Her tail swung lightly behind her, ready to strike at any more annoying people who'd dare look at her the wrong way.
"Lady Chiller..." The guy in the middle manage to crack out. Chiller smirked and layed her forarm on the desk, drumming her long black nails on the wood. "You're here for the competition?"
"Oh my, have I become that obvious?" Chiller narrowed her eyes. "Yes, idiot."
"Sir, this may not be wise." The guy on the right whispered. Chiller ignored that for the moment.
"OK then." The man in the middle cracked again. Chiller was loving this. "You're, all set. Good luck." He really started to sink in his chair. Chiller half laughed as she turned her back.
"Oh, and you." She closed her eyes, crossing her arms. The man on the right was suddenly engulfed in a pink cloud, his arms and legs pulled in 4 different directions, and his heart ripped from his chest. "Don't ever question me." Chiller dropped his heart on the desk in a splat of gore and left, leaving everyone scared.

Chapter 64
Sarah plopped down in an over stuffed chair. She was in the Saya-jins' house, each team was given a ski lodge type house during the tournament. The Z-warriors of course got the best one because nobody dared not make them happy. They'd all fought 4 fights already that day, 2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon. The large living room was wall to wall oak, a large fire place held a small inferno. Sarah was starting to drift off, Bardock was asleep in a chair by the fire, and everybody else minus Gokou and Vegeta was upstairs. Then, still laughing about their one-sided first day wins, Gokou and Vegeta walked in.
"Hey guys." Sarah yawned. Bardock's eyes cracked open.
"Hey. I take it everyone won?" Gokou flopped down on the coach.
"I don't think anybody even got hit." Sarah laughed, sitting up.
"Anyone fighting tonight?" Vegeta sat down in the chair next to Sarah.
"Not that I know." Sarah noted.
"Yeah, I am." Bardock yawned. "Was trying to get some sleep before."
"Sorry dad." Gokou laughed. "Where and when?"
"145. 18:00." Bardock started to drift off.
"That's right after dark." Vegeta noted. "And ring 145's outside." He smirked.
"Wow, I wouldn't want to be the one fighting him." Sarah sighed. All the Saya-jins laughed, Bardock just rolled his eyes and drifted back to sleep.

Ring 145, almost 18:00. All the Saya-jins watched from a safe distance. Bardock flew over a low ring, his opponent looked like a ninja frog, but his power level made up for how stupid he looked. The whistle went off, Bardock suddenly found himself in a head lock.
"Fast little fucker, aren't you?" The Saya-jin growled and through him off. He landed a sharp punch in the ninja's face, but it didn't do much and he got kicked down a few feet. Barodck looked over at the horizon, a huge silver disk was almost in few view. "Only another minute." Bardock smirked. The ninja took advantage and knocked Bardock into the ground.
"Dad!" Gokou screamed, jumping.
"Give him a minute, Kakarotto!" Vegeta through his arm down. "Bardock's not done yet. Look." Vegeta pointed to the harrizon.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that." Gokou smiled. "Think it'll be enough?" Vegeta smirked.
"I think this match is over." Vegeta watched Bardock get up, the moon was in place.
"Sorry sucker, but it's time I finished you off." Bardock laughed. "Ever fought a transformed Saya-jin? Didn't think so." Well, if you're never seen a Saya-jin transform, you'd love this. Bardock was really good at this and transformed before the ninja even realized what happened. With a double fist, the ninja was crushed like a bug. The whistle blew. Bardock curled up, going back to normal.
"Hey, you can control it?" Gohan asked as all the Z-worriors ran up.
"It takes time and practice, but yes." Bardock smiled. He was bit bashed up and wanted to get back to the house. "Pays to still have my tail." Bardock was waiting to rub that in, wrapping his tail around his waist.
"It's not always permanent." Vegeta pointed out they started to walk back to the house.
"Yeah, Vegeta, Kakarotto and I get our tails back in level 4." Sarah smiled.
"Or 5." Vegeta smirked. "It's worth it too. Not that I need to transform to kill anything."
"Sure dad. We all believe you." Trunks joked. Unlike the others, Trunks, Pan and Goten couldn't even remember having a tail, never mind transforming. Sarah just hated transforming, but that's another story.
"Hey, anybody else hungry?" Golem sighed.
"Yeah, let go get some food." Gokou jumped in. All the others rolled their eyes.
"Can we get Chinese?" Pan and her uncle Goten asked in sync.
"OK, OK, we'll go. Come on." Vegeta lead the pack. From behind a tree, Chiller watched the group. She didn't want them to know she was there, not yet. She wanted them to see her just before they fought her, when there was no time left to get out alive...

After a day and a half, The Z-warriors were being their atomic selves. No one had lost, most of them hadn't even been hit. Pan and Sarah were on their way to their last fights of the day.
"Hey dad!" Pan yelled. Gohan ran over to them.
"Oh good. Gohan, I've got an easy fight, I think. I should be back in 10 minutes to watch Pan's. K?" Sarah took off. Pan looked up at her dad.
"Well, lets go." Gohan ushered her off. Pan got into the ring.
"So? Where's my next victum?" Pan laughed, kicking come dirt off her sneekers.
"Right here." A very evil laugh.
"Chiller!" Pan and Gohan yelled in sync.
"You look scared, little Saya-jin." Chiller laughed as the gun sounded. "Don't worry, you haven't been a major pain in my side, so I'll make it fast." Pan suddenly toughened up and took a fighting stance.
"No way are you running me over. No Saya-jin goes down with out a fight!" Pan powered up, Gohan watched from the side, scared stiff. Pan jumped from Chiller's dashing punch, that wound up cracking the ring in half, and left her open. "Masnkua...Ha!" Chiller easily blocked the shot.
"Not even close. You seem to be holding back." Chiller was suddenly in Pan's face. "Why?" Chiller knocked her into the broken center ring.
"Pan!" Gohan screamed, but Sarah held him back.
"Chill Gohan, she's not done yet. Look up." Sarah motioned up. Chiller was right, Pan was holding back. Her mind was else where, borrowing energy from all the fighters on the planet, 500+ warriors. "Gimme your hand." Sarah and Gohan added their energy to the mix. "I knew Bardock was teaching her the Spirit Bomb attack yesterday, but I never thought she'd catch it so fast."
"What's wrong, little Saya-jin? Out of energy?" Chiller laughed. Pan spit blood on the ring.
"Not even close." She sudden through her energy into the Spirit Bomb and stood up. "Later, Chiller." Pan jumped back and in one swift motion, though the bomb.
"Get down!!" Sarah and Gohan hit the dirt. The explosion was huge. As the smoke cleared, Pan winced, her fists so tight her nails dug into her palms. Chiller stood smirking in the cloud of dust.
"Impressive. You remind me of your father, a true Saya-jin." Chiller floated up to eye level with Pan. "I hope you understand your death is nothing personal. But it's your family or mine."
"Then it's been hell knowing you." Pan reared back. "Kame Hame Ha!"
"She just wont give up! Hey, I taught her right!" Sarah remembered her speech to Pan about never giving up, apparently it had worked. Chiller deflected the attack, now annoyed. She dashed into Pan, brought her knee up and double fisted her into the ground. Pan was down. "Hey Ref!" Sarah ran up to the referee type person. "Fight's over, blow the whistle before she gets killed!!"
"Oh, right." He choked, and blew the whistle. Chiller smirked, pretending not to hear and fired a huge shot down at Pan. It never connected. Standing arms crossed over his daughter, was Gohan.
"Fight's over, Chiller. Get lost." Gohan demanded, dropping his arms. Chiller smiled.
"She's not worth it any way." Chiller disappeared. Sarah got into the ring. Gohan dropped to Pan's side.
"Pan? Can you here me?" Gohan's voice was a bit week.
"Yeah... Wow, I'm alive." Pan sighed, her eyes cracking open. "Think you can carry me home, dad?"
"Sure kid." Gohan smiled. Sarah got next to them as Gohan flew towards the house with Pan.
"Pan, I gotta tell you, that Spirit Bomb was amazing. For once I think Chiller got something right, you're a hell of a Saya-jin." Sarah smiled.
"Thanks. Wouldn't mind getting into my regen tank right now though..." Pan groaned.
"You got it, kid. Anything you want." Gohan smiled.
"I'm sorry I lost." Pan winced.
"Hell, you couldn't have won. You're lucky you're alive. I'll get her for you Pan, I promise." Sarah growled.

Due to the amazing number of people who dropped out of the men's one on one, unwilling to fight one of the Z-warriors, the final round had been held that night. It was late, almost 10, when Vegeta and Gokou came in. Gokou was still showing signs of battle, and was a bit drowsy from an hour in a regen tank.
"If absolute power corrupts absolutely, I'm proud to be absolutely corrupted!" Vegeta laughed.
"Hey Sarah." Gokou chimed, despite all. Sarah shushed them and pointed across the room to Golem and Cammy, asleep by the fire. "Aw, how cute."
"What I said." Sarah smiled and lead them into the back room. "You two OK now?" Sarah sighed.
"I'm fine. Kakarotto couldn't hurt me if his life depended on it." Vegeta laughed.
"Hey, I almost beat you!" Gokou insisted. "I still can't believe the size of the Final Flash." Gokou rubbed his head. Both Sarah and Vegeta smirked. "Is Pan OK?"
"Still in the regen tank." Sarah sighed. "She came so close to dieing. I thought we were going to loose her there for a second. Still, she's get some power off it. She's got enough Saya-jin blood for that."
"Yeah, but if she's still in the regen tank, what we gonna do with you after tomorrow afternoon?" Vegeta crossed his arms with a sigh.
"If she survives." Gokou noted.
"Hey, gimmie some credit Kakarotto." Sarah growled, crossing her arms. "I'll get Chiller for what she did to Pan, and all the people she's killed."
"Sarah, you can't seriously think you'll kill Chiller! She's all but even with me!" Vegeta dropped his arms.
"Yeah, I do. I've never had a chance to take Chiller on, one on one." Sarah insisted.
"Sarah, look I know you want to prove you can fight, but we all already know..." Gokou got cut off.
"You don't know Kakarotto, you don't. I can't beat either off you so I don't expect you to have much faith in me. I'm sick of you two protecting me! I may be the Saya-jin queen, but I can fight with the best of them, and tomorrow, Chiller's going to learn that the hard way, and take a one way trip to hell." Sarah growled, storming out. Vegeta and Gokou exchanged glances.
"You seriously think she can win?" Gokou asked.
"You ever seen her really pissed?" Vegeta asked. Gokou shook his head. "Perpare to be amazed. If she stands a chance, she'll make sure Chiller feels it." Vegeta sighed and walked out to go get cleaned up.

All the Z-warriors gathered around a large cliff, as close to the ring as they were aloud to get.
"Where's Sarah?!?" Vegeta demanded. "Chiller's getting anxious. If she starts to power up now..."
"Chill dad." Golem cut in. "Mom's never been late in her life, especially for a fight. She'll be here."
"Yeah but still, making Chiller wait?" Trunks was getting uneasy.
"Relax." Cammy smiled. "She'll be here. She's probably just stretching out."
"Still, she's almost late." Goten looked at his watch. Bardock looked over his shoulder.
"Bloody hell..." Jeice growled. Chiller's ki waves were pushing down the dirt.
"Dad, can you find her?" Gohan asked. Gokou started to home his senses.
"There!" He pointed to the horizon. A spark and Sarah stopped in a fighting stance across from Chiller, right on time. "I knew she'd make it." Sarah stopped dead, the wind moved her hair around her armor. She exchanged glances with Gohan, Bardock and finally Vegeta.
'Good luck, Sarah'. Vegeta smiled, mentally reassuring her. Sarah smiled, then turned to Chiller, matching her present power level. That only brought her into level 1. Chiller was pacing herself, she was as scared as Sarah had told herself not to be. Both girls knew if they showed or even felt their fear that they'd loose. Sarah was twitching when the gun went off, and both of them sprang.
"I can't see them..." Cammy gaped. They were moving too fast. "Golem?" She saw his face. "You can follow them?" Golem smiled a nodded.
"Most of it. I'm sure my dad and Kakarotto can. Saya-jin eyes are 100 to 1000 times faster then human eyes." He told her. "Don't worry, you're not missing anything. They're both too fast."
"No such thing as too fast, not with Freeza's family." Gohan winced. "Most of us leaned that the hard way."
"Dammit." Vegeta swore. He could feel their power levels soaring. The two fights suddenly broke, both breathing hard and fists tight.
"Unbelievable! They're matching each other's every move!" Gokou's eyes bugged.
"Sit down, dad!" Goten shoved him back.
"Yeah, your ki flares and you're gonna distract them!" Jeice took Gokou's place be Vegeta.
"Oh, here we go..." Trunks sensed Sarah's ki shooting up, Chiller easily matched. Then, the exchange of shots lit up the sky and blinded everyone. Then it all faded, like nothing happened.
"I don't get it. What happened?" Cammy asked.
"They're dead even... Chiller's intention is to match Sarah level by level." Bardock moved to the front of the group by Vegeta. "She's trying to wear Sarah out, make her go to her max then push her own power level high enough to beat her." Bardock sighed. "Old trick, I should know. I came up with the battle plan."
"If you came up with it, then I'm sure Sarah knows what's going on." Golem noted.
"Chiller's not the one matching levels." Vegeta smirked watching the exchange of fireballs. "Chiller doesn't even realized what Sarah's making her do. Sarah's reserving her power in pace. She plans to wear Chiller down." Vegeta smiled at his queen's genius.
"But can she?" Trunks asked. "She's have to have almost undying stamina." Sarah was suddenly slammed into the ground. "And not let Chiller do that again."

Sarah pulled herself up off the ground. Chiller was floating down.
"Give it up, Saya-jin, you're no match for my power." Chiller laughed.
"Oh, I'm just getting warmed up, bitch." Sarah dashed from her shot and jumped up to level 3. Chiller quickly snapped back, moving around her. Sarah stayed on defense, not letting Chiller get any serious shot on her, but pacing her power. If she played it safer Chiller would easily get frustrated and make mistakes.
"Ugh, stand still!" Chiller demanded, getting rather pissed.
"OK." Sarah stopped about 20 feet on in front of Chiller, shocking her. "Saya-jin Fireball!" Chiller took it full blast and was sent flying.
"That's it!!" Chiller leapt up into the air, letting her ki explode. Suddenly she disappeared.
"Hey, where'd she go?!?" Sarah darted up. "Ugh!" Sarah got slammed face first into the ground.
"Stupid bitch." Chiller floated down landed near Sarah. The Saya-jin could barely move. "You should have laid down and died when you had the chance." Chiller kicked her in the ribs, sending her rolling.
"Sarah!" Vegeta screamed from the side lines. He was helpless to do anything...
"You are truly sad." Chiller watched Sarah try to get up. "I wonder. Who should I kill first? Your friends, your husband? Your son?" Sarah spit a wad of blood on the ground, her ki flaring. Suddenly, she flipped over on her back and fired a Chiller. It was point blank and Chiller hadn't seen it coming. That gave Sarah time to get into level 4. "Why you..." Chiller was burnt, hurt, and really pissed.
"Lets get this on, already!" Sarah laughed, floating up to Chiller. "Sonic Fire!" The entire sky lit up.
"Alright, she's got the upper hand back!!" Goten jumped.
"She just can't stop now." Trunks sighed.
"Don't worry she's got this one." Golem smirked.
"Come on, Sarah..." Jeice tensed.
"You all please shut up!" Bardock demanded. The rest of them were to lost in the fight.

Sarah swung around as Chiller got up.
"Kame Hame Ha!" She fired a blue beam full force. Chiller got her hand on it, but Sarah added a strong enough pulse for it to explode. "Fireball Charge!" That one sent Chiller flying a mile. Sarah gasped, catching her breath as she flew towards her target. Chiller was getting up. "Big Bang attack!!" Sarah's voice showed her pain, but she was powered by too much addrenalin. Chiller was sent into a creator. Sarah didn't know if her body could take it, but if she could one more shot off, she might be able to win... "Saya-jin Fireball!" The orange beam flew from Sarah's palms. Suddenly, a gold ball crashed with it, and actually swallowed the beam up. Sarah's head spun, which hurt pretty bad. Iceson... He was by Chiller before Sarah could react.
"Sorry bitch." Iceson growled. "Another time." He fired at her, the same gold ball, before activating a teleport on his wrist that swept both him and Chiller up. Sarah was too hurt to react. Suddenly, three beams smashed the gold ball. Sarah glanced over, Bardock, Golem and Vegeta. Sarah couldn't even hold herself in the air anymore. Sarah dropped slowly to the ground, falling from Super Saya-jin. Vegeta was at her side in a second. Sarah was slipping in and out of consciousness.
"Mom!" Golem flew up. "Dad, is she OK?" Vegeta shook his head.
"She's hurt bad." Vegeta picked her up and flew up. "We gotta get her into a regen tank, now." Vegeta took off, Gokou was at his side in a second. Sarah's eyes cracked open.
"Wow, I won, huh?" Sarah groaned. Vegeta nodded.
"Hey Sarah, how many Super Saya-jins does it take to screw in a light bulb?" Gokou smiled. "I don't know, but it only takes one to beat Chiller." Gokou laughed, stealing King Kai's joke. Sarah smiled.
"That's pretty bad, Kakarotto." She let herself slip off.

Chapter 65
Sarah crossed her hands over the rail the next day, looking out into the new day. The morning winds blew her hair over her sleep clothes, and made her feel new again. She hadn't killed Chiller, but she'd won, and proven a lot. Sighing, she looked down into the yard. Golem and Cammy flew around a tree, messing around. Cammy could fly, news to Sarah, Golem probably taught her. Bardock walked outside, manageing to stop the two from flirting for 20 seconds. Sarah rolled her eyes. She knew Cammy never really like Golem, but he been, well, growing on her. Everyone else was down stairs, getting ready to leave. She couldn't help but watch Bardock, he had less then a day left with his family anf friends before it was back to the spirt realm. He'd lived it up though, a hell of a good time, and a really good set of fights.
"Sarah." Vegeta walked into the room. "Come on, get changed, we're leaving soon."
"OK, Veggie. I'm coming." Sarah watched him leave and picked up her biker outfit. For some reason, she just felt like her armor was a little over used even if she'd probably have it back on by noon. "I love being a Saya-jin." Sarah told herself. "Kiss my tail, Chiller. You can never win."

Sarah stood in the doorway of her ship, waiting for Bardock who was outside the palace, saying his goodbyes. For Gokou and family, it was a tearful occasion. For a father and son, it was especially painful. A week ago they'd been completely unsure of each other's feelings toward each other, and now couldn't stand to say goodbye. Pan had it almost as hard, the great grandfather she'd never known couldn't have been a better friend, teacher, or link to her past. Finally, Bardock split from the crowd, and walked to Sarah's side.
"Ready?" Sarah asked. Bardock sighed and nodded. "OK, come on, or you'll never be able to leave." Sarah shut the door and walked to the controls.
"Somehow, I'd almost rather just 'die' now and leave it at this." Bardock sighed.
"No way." Sarah smiled as they took off. "Something tells me, you're not done yet."
