No, no. I meant the real type. The type that like among you people, and you people don't even notice. Those of you who do, either think that we're some weird freaky cult, and flame us, or try to kill us. Yup, "us". Suprise! I'm a therianthrope.

A therianthrope! Ever heard of a lycanthrope? That means "wolf-man" lycan means "wolf", and therian means "animal", so........ I'm a shapeshifter! Suprise! You might know me as a "were", which is a kind of slang for "werewolf", or as some people call themselves, werewoofs.
Soooo..... you eat little kids?
*sigh* *sweatdrop* And I thought it was only Jews who got blamed for that... No I don't eat little children, and use their blood to make matzoh because I'm Jewish, and I don't eat little kids cause I'm a were. These things were just propoganda that the Roman Catholic chruch put out around the 1700s when they started seeing every other religion/way of life as a threat to Christianity. Weres DON'T kill kids for blood, and Jews DON'T kill kids for blood. We just don't. Nevermind all the bad stuff you hear, weres, wiccans, pagans, and others do not kill people unless they're psycho(and most don't kill animals either, unless they're hunting[hunting as in gun, duck hunting and stuff], which all types of people do). Just like "normal" people don't kill people unless they're psycho. I don't know where you guys come up with these things...
You might ask what a shapeshifter is. Well, a shapeshifter is a person who has an alliance with an animal, a kind of "shared soul". We shift on many different levels. Of course, there's the awesome p-shift.
A p-shift stands for a physical shapeshift. It's kind of like our version of slang. When you physically shift, your body changes into the body of your pheno, which is short for phenotype. Your phenotype is the type of animal your soul is. Everyone wants to p-shift, but only a few can. I can't yet, but I'm hoping to, considering *ahem* certain things....
Then there's the m-shift. M stands for mental. It's when your mindset changes to that of your pheno. So basically, you look like a person, but are really an animal thinking. There are different levels of m-shifts, some are weak, where you just feel slightly "wolfish" as people with wolf phenos put it. Others, you are m-shifted so deep that you think that you are really your pheno, just in a false skin. Sometimes these shifts happen due to strong emotions, such as anger or protectiveness, and other times they happen just because.
The a-shift stands for "astral shift". This is where you astral form changes to that of your pheno. Psychics can usually sense this pretty well. If you have an O.O.B. (out-of-body) experience, and you shift during it, you have just a-shifted.
A d-shift, also known as a dream shift, is when you shift while sleeping. Not "really" shift, just you shift in your dream, or you are already your pheno. This is really common, but the last one I'll list is even more common for shifters.
And finally, phantom limbs. This is when you feel like you have the limbs of your pheno, but you can't see them. Like you feel a movable tail, twitchy ears, a rising hackle. Pretty cool, ne?
Well, aren't there other things besides shapeshifters if what you're saying is true?
Yes there are other types of people. Notice how I say types of people not things. I hate when people assume that they're better than other people. A. We have the same DNA type as you do, in other words, WE'RE HUMAN TOO! Geeze, some of you people are so thickheaded...
Anyways, there's wiccans, which most of you have probably heard of. Some of you call them "witches" or "pagans", same diff. No wait, actually there is a difference, not all wiccans are witches (ie magic powers) and not all pagans are wiccans. There're also vampires. Yup, vampires. I don't know much about them as I have never personally met one, but Leagon Wolf (thank you soooo much!!!!) has given me some information on them. To quote- "There are born vampires- those born from vampiric parent, created vampires- those made by another vampire, and psycic vampires- those that eat energy (more specifically and correctly known as Magnetci vampires), and the undead vampire- ghostie vampires that eather share a body with someone or drink their victims blood as the float about."
