Do you use eye liner alot, but still can't get it perfectly on? Well, here are some tips for pencil liner, powder liner and liquid liner.
If you use...
Pencil Eye Liner
1: Roll the tip of the pencil between two fingers - the heat from your hand will melt the liner and soften it up a little. A quick blast from your hair dryer also does the trick.
2: Pull your lid out to the side so that the skin's taut and draw from the inner to the out corner of your eye. To avoid a black space between your eyeliner and the bottom of the lid, keep the liner extremely close to your lashes.
3: If you want a more severe, rock chic look, apply pencil to the inner lower lid.
Powder Eye Liner
*Note: This requires a brush with an angled or flat tip. This also requires some practice!!
1: Almost any eyeshadow can be used as a powder liner. Use an eyeshadow with a strong color (think the opposite of sheer), because you don't need a ton to get the look you want.
2: Dip your brush into the powder and blow the tip to get rid of the excess. That way, dark flecks won't drip down onto your cheeks and make them look dirty.
3: Starting from the outer corner of your eye, draw across you top lash line. If you want intensity, do over the line again, or extend the powder out past your eye.
Liquid Eye Liner
*Note: Expect to put in some time - and eye-makeup remover- practicing the liquid eye line.
1: The thing about liquid liner is that there's a fine line between sultry and scray, so try a few test strokes on your hand to get a feel for the brush before you begin.
2: Rest youe elbow on a table for support. Start from the inner corner of your eye, with your pinkie on your cheeckbone for balance, paint as close to your lashes as humanly possible.
3: For the cat-eye effect, continue the line out just a bit. Avoid opening your eyes before the liner is dry - you'll get dark liquid on your top lid when you blink.
