Message from executive producer

Dear American Embassy fans,

I don't know who the two of you are (or whether you know each other at all) but I had to write and thank you for your support of the show.

I am head of a production company called Jersey Television (my partners are Danny DeVito, Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher) and also an executive producer of The American Embassy along with Jim Parriott, the show's creator.

All of us who worked so hard on this show are very, very appreciative of the comments you and other viewers have posted and the efforts that have been made to find The American Embassy a new home. We were very disappointed that FBC did not choose to support the show, and it is heartening to see your passion and to know that our efforts were not in vain.

We believe so strongly in this series...in its cast and the characters they and we worked so hard to build. We still hope there will be a long journey ahead for Emma and her colleagues. I want to assure you that I will be doing everything possible to find a new home for The American Embassy, at the WB or possibly another of the broadcast networks besides FBC. If it would be possible to produce the show for a cable broadcaster we will explore that too.

I'm sure it can sometimes be frustrating to feel your voice as a viewer is not heard. Believe me, it is also frustrating to be an executive producer, to know you have something of real quality and value, and to not be able to convince a network to stick by your show. I just want you to know that Jim, Arija, my partners, the rest of the cast and I have really been encouraged by you and the others who have spoken out on behalf of The American Embassy. We'll keep fighting for the show's future as hard as we can.

Keep the faith.

Yours,
John Landgraf
