Theme

1) Be it constitutionally amended that a candidate may only drop down once after running for a higher position.

Background: This motion gives more girls the opportunity to be on board. By limiting the number of girls running for each position. Additionally, it lessens the time we spend doing elections.

2) Be it constitutionally amended that a candidate may be nominated an unlimited number of times for all positions, except for N'siah.

Background: This motion is made for the purpose of providing girls with the chance to try again during elections. Especially for the girls too shy to declare or dropdown, this gives them the opportunity to make several attempts to be on chapter board.

3) Be it constitutionally amended that a candidate may only be nominated three times for chapter offices, except for N'siah.

Note: If you are a candidate for a higher position, your 1 dropdown utilizes 1 of your possible nominations. If you have not run for a higher position you can utilize three nominations.

Background: This motion also gives each girl the chance to run for a position more than once. Each girl deserves to run for a position that they feel can handle. Plus the restriction on only 3 nominations will make the election process go by faster, while still giving them a fair chance at being on board.

4) Be it constitutionally amended that we omit the term "Echad Goddess" stated in Section L to "Sunshine Girl."

Background: The term "Echad Goddess" was created earlier in Echad's history when our reputation was nothing to proud of. This nickname is no longer relevant and/or appropriate. By shedding the term "Echad Goddess" it sheds our old reputation.

5) Be it constitutionally amended that when giving speeches during the course of elections the N'siah has three minutes & all other positions have two minutes.

Background:By reducing speeches it lessens the time spent in the election process. After sitting in speeches for too long, girls get impatient and vote for the purpose of ending as soon as possible and not for the purpose of choosing the most qualified person for the position.

6) Be it constitutionally amended that one can only hold one position unless you are running completely unopposed.

Background:In this scenario where there is no member who would like or is eligible to hold this position there needs to be someone to take its responsibilities.

7) Be it constitutionally amended that one can declare for all positions an unlimited number of times.

Background: This gives the girls the chance to prepare to run for more then one position. That way in the case that one might have lost they are still declared for another position and can utilize the time and platform that was prepared for that position.

8) Be it constitutionally amended that when giving speeches during the course of elections the N'siah has four minutes and all other positions have three.

Background: It is good to shorten the 5 minutes for N'siah and 4 for all others, however a candidate for an important position may be rushed in any time less than 3 minutes and the chapter as well as the candidate may be cheated out of electing the best qualified girl.

9) Be it constitutionally amended that when giving speeches during the course of elections N'siah gets 4 minutes, S'ganit-Gizborit gets 3 minutes and Katvanit and below gets 2 minutes.

Backround:This will allow proper time for the future leader of our chapter to get enough time to properly explain in detail her future plans for the chapter. Also, top board gets to fully explain their plans for leading the chapter.
