Glitter Board Rules.
It's not as scary and school-like as it sounds! Below are just a few guidelines that you should browse through if you are using/thinking of using the message board here. Basically they have just been put in place to make sure that everyone who uses the board is safe from abusive/offensive comments and any other unnessesary upset. You aren't going to get told off if you "break" the rules... but just make yourself aware of them so that everyone can stay happy and glittery :)
- Any abusive/offensive messages will be deleted
- If you are feeling very very low/suicidal then you should either go to a&e or call someone like the
samaritans... these people are trained to help you! As much as people here want to be able to do
something there isn't much we can do over the internet. That isn't to say that you are not welcome
here when u feel that bad... but just remember that what we can do is very limited.
Also, check out www.metanoia.org/suicide - Please do not threaten suicide/ self harm on here. As much as you are hurting at the time, think
how it makes others feel when u say something like "I'm going to kill myself now. BYE" and then
disappear for a few days. We're all vulnerable and messages like this seriously mess with people's
heads. If you need attention then ask and we'll give it!
- If you are posting about anything that has the possibility to upset people (esp graphic
descriptions of self harm, abuse, etc etc) it would be helpful if you could put something like *trigger*
in the title. This just stops people who are feeling too vulnerable from reading anything that may
upset them.
- If anyone on the board upsets you, or if you find any messages offensive etc PLEASE PLEASE
e-mail me(or any other unrelated party) about it! Don't fight it out on here. Things online easily get
taken out of context and people take things the wrong way.
- PLEASE do NOT give anyone the password to the message board. New users can be recommended to me, or they can e-mail me and I will add them to the user list.
