Tristaine: The Clinic

A revised and enriched second edition, released by Bold Strokes Books in May of 2006.

The first in a series of novels about Tristaine, a mountain village populated by modern day Amazons, genetic descendants of the ancient women warriors.

The City's oppressive Government has always feared the freedom and independence of the women of Tristaine. The Military hopes to learn how to defeat the Amazons by capturing Jesstin, their lead warrior, and imprisoning her in the City's notorious Clinic.

Brenna is the highly skilled Government medic assigned to Jess's care, throughout a punishing series of "clinical trials." Her careful detachment is challenged when she finds herself drawn to her mysterious patient.

Caster, the eminent scientist in charge of the Tristaine project, learns of Brenna's growing feelings for Jess. The young medic is forced to choose between loyalty to the City, and escaping the Clinic, for a new life among the Amazons of Tristaine.
