Accents: The room should have a very light and airy feeling. Add seashells or mini palm trees, hula dancers, shreded green tissue paper around pencil holders or lamp shades, strings of christmas lights, straw mats on your floor and stuffed monkeys will always do!
Do it yourself: If you've ever wanted to try weaving, now's the time. Take a piece of cardboard the size of whatever you want to make and on opposite ends cut slits every 1/2 inch. Tie a knot at the end of the string and weave the string back and forth through every slit. Take more string and weave it over under horizontally on the string that's already in place. When finished end by placing each loop at the end over another until you have one loop left. Knot this one and you're done!
