About Me.
After many years of being fascinated with the Dalton gang, like many others, there was one that stood out from the others for me, Grat Dalton. This is why I have started this site. I have included some documents and photos that I wish I could have obtained when first starting out researching him and some fun stuff like handwriting analysis that I did just for curiosity/fun in the beginning of my research on him.
This web site has been created to educate and inform. I have not intended to put negative light on Grat or his brothers in any way seeing that there are so many books and other material out there that already do so. I have over the years grown very fond of Grat and the Dalton brothers in my research and do hope this site shows it in the information that it contains.
Grat's life was a very turbulant one with many arrests and accidents. Gratton, Bob and Emmett were not just a gang of "outlaws" they were marshals as well with very fine records as officers and were well thought of by many at the court house in Judge Isaac Parker's day. A chain of events in their lives would turn their lives upside down and in the opposite direction. I think that finding this out is why I became so facinated with Grat. He has been a special project for me over the years and I hope that others will enjoy these web pages as much as I have in researching him and putting them together!
