What do you mean by "The Living Dead"? No, I'm not talking about zombies or ghouls. That's make believe. I'm talking about a relationship with a spiritual being who wants to transform your life into something that you would never have imagined was possible. You need to understand that I'm not talking about religion. I am talking about passing from death to life. Let's take a look at what the Bible says.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

Every one of us has sinned against God. We may not all be murderers or thieves, but we know in our hearts that we do wrong. We all fall short of God's standards.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

The Bible says that the punishment for sin is death. But God has made a way. Somebody else paid the price for you. Yeshua(Jesus) paid for your sins when he died on the cross. He took your place because he loves you.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

God loves you so much that he was willing to let his only son die just so that you could pass from death into life everlasting. He has prepared a place for those who love him to dwell forever.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Yeshua is the only way to God. Religion won't do it. Religion causes more harm than good in our world. Good works won't do it either, because none of us can be good enough to meet God's standard. Yeshua is like a bridge between us and God. We can only come to God through him.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Salvation is a free gift, no strings attached. God wants to give you eternal life because he loves you. You can't earn it. And on the other hand, you can't lose it once you have it. Once you are saved, your destiny is sealed. You are one of the "Living Dead"!

So how can I join the ranks of the Living Dead? First, you have to believe in your heart that Yeshua is God's only son, that he died on the cross for your sins, and that he rose again on the third day. Second, you have to confess, or admit, that you are living life your own way, and that you have fallen short of God's standard. And third, you have to repent, or turn away from living life your own way, and decide to live for God.

Talk to God. Tell him your hearts desire, that you want a relationship with him and you are sorry for making such a mess of your life. Ask him to make you new, and to bring you over from death to life.

It's that simple. Sounds too good to be true? Well, God made it simple enough for even a little child to understand. God wants to be in your life. He loves you and has great plans for you. Will you join the ranks of the Living Dead and have your name written in the Book of Life?
