About the Ancient Race
Ancient Normal
Ancients are an unknown race of what seems to be humans. However, in truth they are not humans. There life span is much longer then a human. It is often said that they can live longer than an elf which is an awful long time if you think about it, but the life span of this strange race has yet been found out.
The First Ancient
No one known how this strange race came to be or anything in truth. It was said the first Ancient was banished from a village cause of its strange ways. Ancients have many skills when it comes to magic. Though, most often use it to protect themselves or even heal others when they have been hurt. However, a lot of humans within that time thought it was evil since evil was spreading all over the worlds. So then after that the Ancient created its own world which was within that world. It was a different plane of existents. That was how there world came to be.
Now Ancients do not believe in being with others outside of there world. So humans, elves, fairies, demons, etc., are not to be within the world of the Ancients nor are the Ancients allowed within there. This was meant to help keep all the Ancients safe from harm of the humans, and so the humans would not think them to be demons. So from then on there race slowly slipped away only to become a myth among everyone, and gods to others who still worship them.
Ancients live within clans. There is a total of three clans within the whole race of Ancients. The smallest clan is the royal clan which is called Nuoym* Clan. This is the royal family of all the Ancients. They are the ones that came from the first Ancient before others slowly came to be. They rule over the world of the Ancients making sure peace remains between them all. The second clan is rather large, but said to be the line of the second Ancient to be born into the world. This clan is called Cemjan* Clan. They are the ones that keep watch over the royal family and are often said to be the one linked to marry into the royal clan, though, it is very rear for them to be. They are also often to main healers of there world. The last clan much like the second one is rather large as well. They come from the line of the last Ancient to be created. This clan is called Kumt* Clan. They are the ones who teach everyone and grant them more knowledge they might not already know. All around all three of the clans play a big role within the Ancients race and are treated equally rather one was of the royal family or not.
No one mates with the royal clan unless they were picked by the priestess of the Ancients. The royal family hold to much knowledge of there history that it should only remain with them to help protect there many secrets. However, all mates for all clans are chosen by the priestess of the Ancients. When a female is born on the first year of there cycle a ritual is performed that will determine which male of its clan she shall be with. Once a mate is picked the child will grow up around the male so she could get a more of a link with the ones she is meant to be with. The females are only allowed to have two child no more no less. They always have a boy first then a girl. No matter how hard they try the boy will always come first and the girl will always come second. There is something with them that triggers this strange thing to happen.
Now when a female is withchild it is very different then what you would think of. An Ancient is pregnant for three years straight (within there world). The first year and a half of the pregnancy the child is in the first stage of development. It is within this time that memories are passed on to the child from the clan, and then the next year of the pregnancy knowledge is passed to the child. Things the mother believes the child should know when it is born and growing up within there world. Now the last six months of the pregnancy the child will suddenly grow to a normal size baby and ready to be born.
Once the child is born the first three years of its life the child ages very slowly. Which mean the child can remain a baby for three years before actually growing up. After those three years the child will age normally like any normal child would. This however, would make it hard in trying to get the age of an Ancient correct. The way to count how old an Ancient is that you start when it comes to conciseness which is the moment it is created within the mother's womb. Now here is the thing, this is based on there world, but when they enter the normal world the numbers are different. One year within there world is equal to two years in the other world. Let me show you an example withReika.
1year = 2years
3years = 6years
6years = 12years
Alright like I said they began the years when the child comes to conciseness. Now Reika was in her mother for three years so the moment she was born she was already 3years old. Now it takes her three years to actually start to age normally so that's another 3years which makes her 6years (ancient). Now she was taken from there world at that age and placed into the normal world making her right off the bat 12years (normal). Alright 17years have past since then which makes her actually 29years old (normal world). Now if she was still within her own world she would be 14years old (ancient world). Very confusing I bet.
Well, this is how you find out she was already 6 in her world plus the 17 years after that which was in the normal world. Now 1 year = 2 years. Therefore you divide 17 by 2 which make 8 1/2. So within her Ancient world 8 1/2 years have passed making her only 14years old within her old world. Now in the normal world you would take 6 and multiply it by 2 making her 12 years old within the normal world. Then add 12 by 17 you will then get 29. crazy huh.
AAlright now that we got the age and child birth out the way let me explain some things about the Ancients. The Ancients often have pale skin unless they are out within the sun for long times of the day. The love the heat as well as the cold, which explains the pale or tan skin they often have. An Ancient could swim in lava or eve frosty water and not be fazed by it. Now something I haven't explained is that the Ancients have a different color blood which happens to be blue. All of there eye colors are blue.
There magic abilities are much of everything but it is spaced out among the two lower clans. The royal family hold all the abilities of ever element but life. They can seen into the future if they wish, but sometimes can be fatal if they do not know how to control it. They can slip into the dream world, but those who do must be highly skilled within it for some can often be trapped there forever if they can't tell the difference between a dream or reality. The Cemjan clan are highly skilled healers, so they hold most power over healing, but can learn other things if they wish it. They hold the power over the elements fire (for a boy) and earth (for a girl). Kumt clan hold most powers over knowledge of foreseeing the future and entering into the dreams as well as the element air (for a boy) and water (for a girl). Now ever Ancient had the power to open up gateways or portals to move about the many worlds around them. They can even use to move from one point to another. They can create there own small plane within the world they live in for there own private home.
The Ancients have a religion or should one called it a belief. They believe in animal spirit of the tiger, more to the point the tiger they worship is the white tiger. They believe they were once tigers in a former life time or that they were actually born from a tiger. This knowledge was lost to them after the death of the first Ancient, however, they still know enough to understand the belief. When an Ancient dies they are reborn into a sprite guardian which is the white tiger. They come back to watch and protect the one they love or even there family. No one knows if this is true since no proof has ever been found out, and the only truth would be with an Ancient its self.
*Nuoym = Means Royal within there own language it is pronounced "Nooohaem"
*Cemjan = Means Silver within there own language, it is pronounced "Kueaym-jaeahn"
*Kumt = Means Gold within there own language, it is pronounced "Kukoom-te"
(If I find out that anyone has taken my race I created to make a character I will be pissed off. I created this race and made my character the last of it there for there shouldn't be any character out there like her!)
